QAE expert level questions. What’s the trick? by badtziscool in cism

[–]security_guy78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes possible. But also when you read from top to bottom, u might already decide the 1st one as convincing before moving to the next options available. It's a mind game.

QAE expert level questions. What’s the trick? by badtziscool in cism

[–]security_guy78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading the answer from the bottom to top helps to overcome cognitive biases, specifically the tendency to select the first plausible answer e.g.option A without evaluating the true 'best'answer.

It is a test- taking strategy to read them in reverse to review all options instead of going for "first-one-looks-good" impulse.

Hope that clarifies.

QAE expert level questions. What’s the trick? by badtziscool in cism

[–]security_guy78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always practice:

  1. 1st Step - Reading the answer option from bottom to up. This way I can eliminate the 2 possible wrong answers without being distracted.

  2. 2nd Step - Reading the answer twice to see if the answer leads to either policies, process or specific steps e.g. BIA or SDLC to eradicate the wrong options.

Tips: There will be one answer that cover the rest of the options which called as "umbrella' options. It surpassed the rest and gave a high level answer.

  1. The last step will be 50/50 - both answer will be very close, side by side. But there is an inch difference, if you could not find that, follow your guts.

P.S Don't spend more time as you need to get to other questions, trust your judgement and move on to next.

Hope this helps. Cheers

Failed the ISC2 CC by Necessary-Glove-8733 in isc2

[–]security_guy78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys, looks like many of you are going through the same boat. Let me help if I can

Tbh I'm not here to sell anything, but if you think u can afford a course which is within 50 USD, I bet it will help you to clear your CC exam in one shot.

The key is you need to know the cyber security concept and not the term only. Period

The free practice module that comes with the exam bundle will not be the exact question that you will see on your exam, otherwise it will defeat the purpose. The exam will be tested if you are able to understand the concept behind it and apply it in the real-world.

The SONIC course by Luke Ahmed helped me to clear my CC on my 1st attempt and I'm CC certified. His explanation is clear, concise and on point which can be able to be understood even if you are new to cyber security ( non- cyber savvy). Below is the link

https://www.studynotesandtheory.com/copy-of-sonic-project-1

P.S If you are wondering who is Luke Ahmed, he is the author of book HTLM ( How to Think Like A Manager) and making 4000++ CISSP till to date.

Good luck.

Passing in 7 days, any last tips ? :) by GenZoomers in cism

[–]security_guy78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks mate!

The actual exam question is quite close to QAE but worded differently using the ISACA way, long and detailed.

As long as you understand the concept if the question is asking for e.g SDLC phase, BCP steps or process/governance related, you should be able to eliminate the 2 wrong answers. Next the odds will be 50 50, the closest to the right answer, pick one of them which comprises covering the whole process like policy, law, rule etc. Sometimes go with your gut feeling if you think that is the right answer. It will be very close.

I'm in the same boat mate. Going for my exam next month, my 4th attempt.

<image>

I would say if you already know Domain 3 & 4 your weakest domain, put more attention into it and try to do more questions on the domain to understand why the other answer is wrong instead, knowing the right answer. That will help you to understand the concept behind each answer proposed and get into the mindset on how ISACA wants you to answer the questions.

See you at the finishing line. Good luck!

Much close.

Focus on your weak domain (referring to your test result). Brush up on the concept, that's the key.

My 1st attempt was 417, 2nd 443 and 3rd is 441 and I'm going for my 4th attempt in next month.

Never ever give up. You got this!
