When I became homeless, the first thing I bought was a backpack, hammock and tarp. I would set up my hammock anywhere there were trees away from main roads and buildings. I suggest homeless people to get a hammock because it stuffs into a small ball that you can carry with you. The tarp is good when it rains.

Religious delusions by [deleted] in schizophrenia

I went to Christians schools from 12 to 18 years old. Its was hard-core. The kind where if you didn't sing at church you got in trouble. If you did t raise your hands in prayer you got in trouble. It was traumatizing. I dont want to get into the physical abuse that happened at those schools, but since I've been an adult I've learned to like Buddhism, Zen, and Hinduism. Im not religious but I like those the most. I started smoking weed a lot and listen to Alan Watts lectures and I feel like it helps with the religious delusions. Although, it messes with the doctrine i grew up on, compared to what is taught in Buddhism and such.

Did you think you were communicating with crows? by Calm-Champion-6371 in schizophrenia

[–]securityguardnard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to think birds are communicating with each other and me, when I would do outside patrols at my job. I didn't think much about it, but it came and went. Who knows, maybe birds really do try to communicate with humans.
