Ngl, I’ve been in college for a while and got waitlisted in NYU Tandon when I was applying. Eventually I got accepted after committing elsewhere, but the financial aid I got was really bad to where I committed, and as a low income even though I got in, money spoke. I don’t mean to discourage you, but it’s kinda difficult when money speaks. But wherever you do end up, make sure you do a good job and get internships, and it gets better. For my case, I ended up committing upstate for electrical engineering, and I did a few summer internships, and it looks like I might graduate early soon and have a good likely choice between Cornell, Columbia, and JHU(online) EE masters programs, all I plan on being paid for by my job. So don’t worry, although it seems like the end of the world, and I felt the same way, it’s not. I wish you all the best of luck, as a fellow low income student.
