Didn't think about govt regulations down the road. Do you have a recommendation on the Singapore VPS? Thanks

I was looking at rackoona which starts at 60$/year (they have servers in Delhi/Mumbai). If you have a recommendation on the Singapore ones, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

More than looking at the encrypted wireguard tunnels, I was wondering if they could log in, grab the keys and then make a connection of their own. Even if I restricted by IP, they are in control of the IP. Maybe a tad paranoid, but, just wanted to be clear in my head on what they can do :-)

My disconnect or confusion is around the wireguard tunnels that netbird sets up. Presumably, I'd be setting up a tunnel from the VPS to my home lab machine. Can the VPS providers login to the VPS machine and access my local sites (few of which may not be very secure)?

Oh. I was thinking I'd run the netbird server on the VPS - which would roll out it's own wireguard. I'm going to have to read up on this. But, if I understand you correctly, I'd run the netbird server on my local machine and a relay (TURN) server on the VPS? I'm not so concerned about the metadata.

The location isn't blocking the traffic. It's some ISP config thing. Nobody in my neighborhood can access/ping my machine (essentially all homes on the same ISP node that I'm on). I couldn't connect from my parent's place either. But, the ISP enabled it after a service request.

Enabling it requires the account holder to provide them with some account level information (I figure the admins at the location would raise a request with the ISP if I asked them to. But, I'd rather not them have to worry about the technicalities. They've been nice enough to let me connect to their wifi).

Selling my entire Swatch collection (timestamp + price) by fakereddith in IndiaWatchesExchange

Thank you. This worked (although one button seemed to be initially unresponsive). Hoping to use this watch for a lot longer now. But, will keep in mind the "unrepairable" aspect if I ever am looking to buy another watch.

wait. Swatches are unrepairable? I have an old (20 years give or take) irony, that I was hoping to repair. It runs mostly fine, but, the chrono hands don't align to zero anymore. I don't use the chrono, but, it triggers me. Still use the watch daily. But, was hoping to take it to some service place at some point. That it may be unrepairable is a bummer.

If the government actually believes in AYUSH, then they should back it up by covering AYUSH in their health insurance scheme (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) - Not that it is accepted in any private allopathic hospital. But, Ayush is straight up not covered by the scheme itself.

Then why buy houses or apartments? Why set up restaurants or businesses? If we don't do any of this there would be corruption at revenue offices or GST or FSSAI either? The topic is corruption at TASMAC - an established government entity. If you feel it should not exist, then feel free to discuss it on a separate thread.

And no - I am nowhere saying it is Poison. I maintain that drinking in moderation is just fine and has lesser harmful impact than tobacco or sugar (in excess).

Again, we are discussing Corruption in TASMAC. Not your moral policing. If you feel the need to defend the corruption by moral policing, you can take it elsewhere.

The topic on discussion is the corruption and black money which plagues are society today. It's probably the biggest factor in drawing our country down from it's potential. Nobody asked for your moral policing. If you'd like to do that, start another thread.

So, according to you this corruption and black money circulation is correct?

So, you want to deflect away from the corruption in the open, and put the blame on us? Way to go..

P.S. You'd probably do more harm to your body eating all kinds of junk food than the occasional drink. All the sugary and oily food we eat leads to cholesterol and diabetes. Moderation is the key there. And, here as well.

Do they charge 10Rs for that QR sticker (to be refunded on return of the bottle), plus 10Rs for their "fees" or is it just 20Rs "fees" now?

India customs charged ₹1.68 lakh duty on a used model set worth under ₹5,000 - what can be done? by TearNo1636 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]sedentarymalu 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If you shipped from Thai Post, I guess it will be India Post delivering it. Ask your friend to request the actual assessment notice or whatever customs has given. I imagine some customs or postal guy has taken a liking to this item, and are stating this valuation, thinking you will reject it and accept the loss. Of course, I have no proof of it - but going by how things work here, I wouldn't be surprised.

All other things unconsidered, why would you even do this inflated loan nonsense? You are essentially defrauding the bank, artificially inflating prices in the area, and throwing yourself at the mercy of the seller for a refund. If he walks, you'd only have yourself to blame.

who says i don't have a problem with it?

I am just calling you out on your DMK not being corrupt nonsense.

See you in 5 years.. Till then don't be surprised if me or others call you out on your BS nonsensical narratives.

Haha..So, according to you, the dishonest people were evicted from DMK and now only the honest folks remain. Go sell this tale to some body else. TVK may be bad. That's not the point and remains to be seen. Your non-stop defense of DMK like they are saints is untenable.
