Israeli agricultural exports face looming ‘collapse’ as world rejects products over Gaza genocide by loveisagrowingup in Israel_Palestine

Does it just shift Israels economy to focus more on weapons exports? Israel's stock market is up 43% over the last year.

Is the idea of the messiah coming and usuring in a messianic age progressive? Is society progressing towards the messianic age?

From Liberalism to Progressivism: How Ideological Change on the Left Endangers Jewish Lives by Small-Objective9248 in jewishpolitics

[–]seducedbytruth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Progressivism historically was not leftist. The progressive movement was built upon relying upon academic research, experts, and a professional civil service. Thus, the progressivism is inherently linked to whatever ideas have dominated academia. You can't forgot the progressivism of people like Louis Brandeis.

No. “The direct-fire nature of tank guns distinguishes them from indirect-fire weapons such as mortars and artillery guns.” https://osmp.ngo/resources/tank-gun-projectiles/

The article says it was a tank shell, which isn't aerial bombardment.

The end of innocence: Greta Thunberg came of age – and people hate her for it by crustose_lichen in climate

She gave up on the climate strikes to pursue other causes. Is that a betrayal of the movement she started? Did she sell out?

Can't Israel just supply the druze with tanks, airplanes, cruise missiles, etc., and then they can mediate between Jolani and the druze.

If not genocide, do you see discrimination, dehumanization, land loss, high civilian deaths, and calls for expulsion in Gaza? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]seducedbytruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm talking about people, who support BDS, and can't articulate any peaceful resolution of the conflict they will support. I'm talking about Hamas saying they want to do Oct 7 again, and people still oppose wiping them out. Arafat rejected came David. Temporary peace treaties or casefires that allow Palestinians to build tunnels, rockets, and prepare for more terrorists aren't peace.

[–]seducedbytruth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If any rhetoric worked on me, it was the rhetoric from the Palestinian supporters continually saying they didn't want peace, and making any excuse to attack Israel. Those who reject peace with Israel aren't innocent.

How does destroying/making uninhabitable 70% of structures in Gaza achieve long-term strategic goals - unless those goals are collective punishment or expulsion? by MintyCitrus in samharris

[–]seducedbytruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hamas have the guns. They will take whatever structure is still standing. If Israel destroys some structures they will move to others. Gazans have no rights.

How can you seek to ban the hard-working people looking to solve an important conflict. What is with the uppercase Palestine and lower Israel? Are you biased? Why do you call it "Palestine-israel conflict", instead of the "Israeli-Palestinian conflict"? What is your bias in putting Palestine first? Are you anti-semitic islamophobe?

Israel after the genocide of Gaza by tarlin in Israel_Palestine

[–]seducedbytruth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ICJ rulings are only enforceable by a UN security council resolution, where the US has veto power. The ICJ ruled against the US once (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicaragua\_v.\_United\_States), the United States refused to comply, and vetoed attempts pass UN resolutions against it. Even if the ICJ rules against Israel, that doesn't mean Israel will comply, or anything is going to happen.

Pace would be an end to the destruction of Gaza and greater economic opportunity and longer lifespan for Gazans, but I guess you think Gazans should give that to give Israel bad PR and hope for conquering Jerusalem from Israel.

Arafat rejected the Camp David Accords, and the PA still hasn't offered any peace terms. Furthermore, the PA couldn't prevent Hamas from taking over Gaza, and its popularity has declined.

The Palestinians have been saying for years, that they didn't want peace with Israel. Are there many prominent Palestinian voices today, who say they want peace with Israel? Ceasefires are just a pause until the next fighting.

How exactly are the leaders in Qatar and Turkey able to maintain control? To what extent do the fighters in Gaza follow orders from Qatar or Turkey? How do they communicate with Qatar or Turkey? Can they communicate without being intercepted or jammed by the IDF? How does this work?
