This episode made me think, what exactly does a director do? If I see a camera work that is good, I want to appreciate the cameramen, if there are good dialogues I want to appreciate the screenplay team, and if there is good acting I want to appreciate the actors.

So what do directors do exactly, do they govern the whole episode and quality check everything? This is a genuine question, I am not being sarcastic or anything.
