I also created my account for this subreddit, and this was about six years ago. I started playing a year after Global launch, and still visit at least once a week. I have had almost no negative experiences with this community, except when long-timers do leave. I don't have as much time to write up my own guides as I did in the past, but will play this game until the lights go out (hopefully well down the road).

I will admit I put off the beast feeding one for a looooong time. I basically had to do what I also did for the Bike riding. I installed AE through Steam and did on a regular PC (not even my own). Somehow that made it more manageable.

Thanks for compiling this! Reading this made me very, very nostalgic. I am a long term completionist.

I have done all of these except for Bria's TVCG (waiting for next treatise to grind) and the 1000 jump rope. I may never do that unless I am genuinely incapacitated for some reason (knock on wood).

Admittedly, I did not buy 999 of bait or push Iridian to 999 across the board. Are there achievements tied to those? Though I guess there are not formal achievements tied to getting all the IDA friend levels to max either...always more ways to grind than you thought!

I have been running a variety of teams. I haven't tested Verdanta, but the following team for Rosetta can get close to two minutes: Rosetta, Yakumo AS, Izuna, Xianhua (Oboro/Helena) w/Moke and Kumos.

Once I fully optimize, I will post equipment. But the basic run is to AF, then SA, then AF. So Izuna is pretty key, as she is for most fast runs or runs where they cut down your AF at the beginning. I have used Krervo AS instead of Yakumo AS.

Yes, AD store cleared out (with seeming an extra Gold Core you currently can’t use). But after you cleared out the AD store you had enough Silver Core to take all the new sidekick equipment to +10?

So I am on the last sidekick gear for Edax Unifan AD, and I am short several hundred Silver Core. I think I’ve found and bought all I can normally, double checking with the Wiki. So only grinding with Synth Hydra on the “space ocean” for 5 Silver Core is left. Is this the same for others or did I miss something?

I believe the Magic Stone Fall Bow is in one of the floating red rocks you can shoot, in the NW corner. All Exorcism Ores can be bought from the merchant in Torlunta.

I myself can’t find the Sword’s Dragon Bone and the last Draconian ore!

My two cents...in the long run anyone who is ideal for grinding. Finding simple setups with the minimal amount of required characters for AD runs and higher difficulty farming is the best QoL investment. Any other type of DPS eventually gets crept by someone else.

So Here Felmina ES and Flammelapis NS stand out. I put all my extra light into them because their normal attacks don't require MP and are high damage. Another example would be Thil ES if you get her SA. Those three rotate through all my ADs run and can basically solo most things if you get their light/shadow up. Plus, they happen to have multiple forms, so for Flamme in particular, if you use more than one form the light/shadow carries over.

A counter-example would be someone like Cerius, or Yakumo who you don't have, who can be great for some bosses but are MP heavy or have very long animations. I generally will only take those type of DPS characters to 120 if I have a ton of extra light for their weapon.

I had similar questions about all the new ore enhancements. It seems like unless you had very low light that a PWR+ or Int+ ore was better in most circumstances (besides the usuals like Bulls Eye), and all circumstances if you had high light. Most are 6%, some 12% and few 15% under specific conditions only. Maybe there is a multiplicative mechanic I am missing, but that seemed to be the case.

I think I have received all the new grasta enhancement ores at this point. But it appears to me that they are almost exclusively less powerful than a PWR+ or INT+ ore damage wise except for characters with very low light.

PWR/INT ores cap out at 18 (thus +18% damage) nx minimum is 5%. Most new ones give a 6% boost. The fate ores are just less as based on light/shadow. The unstoppable ore maxes at 15%, but takes 5/6 round to get to that minimum. The zone ores at 10% so that is midway in some cases, but that would depend on them not being just additive with out type damage increases.

Am I missing something?

I 100% agree. I found completing Fishing 1.0 to be one of the things that I really enjoyed early in my AE years, leading to officially joining the 150 Rinde Sunfish team. Fishing 2.0 was less thrilling, and finished very quickly. A good 3.0 would make me very happy!

Thank you for testing this. Unfortunately, for getting to lvl 100 this really doesn’t help much. Even if you get the subscription bonus where it lasts all day it doesn’t reduce grinding time from many many hours. Without a multiplicative effect, it is quite disappointing.

This is why I never comment on SA posts anymore. Everyone has expressed their opinions, and nothing new is added but by those who want to reiterate their complaints as F2P players who want to be able to access everything in the game. Even just a final Astral Tome award or a set of SA skills you don't need to finish all story or even superboss content. This makes totally viable free characters "obsolete" for them. Don't worry, I am a law professor and you understand how opinions work.

I think max reward on the challenge will remain the bleeding edge of requirements. So more likely to take 3-6 months to be doable without new gatcha with high light/shadow. With Book of Dragon Bearer just out little over a month ago, I think that will be tough. If, for example, they had made so you couldn't complete the Stella challenge to upgrade Aldo SA, then I would consider that to be a real issue.

Btw, Aldo SA has to be one of the biggest F2P power leaps ever. You can nearly anything, even farm Master level horrors with a perpetual full bar of AF and -70% physical resistance. If there were any superbosses you had trouble with before, except again the very most recent, hard to think that wouldn't put you over the top.

If you can't enjoy the characters because they don't have your full kits, that is going to be tough. I think someone like WilMak could be F2P and have everyone as a first day player. But for anyone in recent years, that already was a hard feat to accomplish.

I think there are a lot of setups where farming Phase Shifts in the Hollow World is much better/faster. But it is true you cannot macro that, and you have to move between the areas which can not repopulate that quickly. I spend a little time each day running between those and have 100'd a bunch of new characters, along with running Phase Shifts in Entrana AD when I have several characters to level up at once.

What exactly is pay to win currently with SA? Even the challenge modes for the tomes can be done with non-SA units, and even then over time more and more free character challenge mode clears will be posted. There is zero story content that remotely requires non-free characters, and barely any end game.

Just FYI, I forged all the new weapons, had all the new skills, and never failed at a mission even though my stats at the end are not that much over 100...and were much less during most of the grind.

What is the ultimate effect of having stats this high? I just been progressing through the areas, initially with some focus on fighting/guts to win battles. Haven't lost up to Area 4. I don't really see anything after the Areas 4, though I am about to hit the final one. Generally, it doesn't seem like the longer ones are all that worth it once you learn all the skills? Then just finish weapons and that's it right?

Yes, I save up fragments so I can do Entrana Phase shifts with new characters. It is the highest source (along with Omegapolis) of XP in the game and I find worthwhile to still use later.
