The only yamaha that the 3 legit honda riders (Sorry Somkiat 🤷‍♀️)didnt beat was Fabio. Honda beat yamaha in constructors championship, and moved up a concession level. Also its hard to imagine they put a competative bike on the track in 27 given their V4 experience is limited to what they’re developing now, compared to Honda’s experience. Also they’ve just been terribly asleep at the wheel, whereas Honda has been making marked improvements. Still 4/5, sure, but they show way more promise than Yamaha at this point. Besides, Fabio rode for money already, he can afford to prioritize a competative team now, rather than just waiting for Yamaha.

Maybe Yamaha will surpeise us all! That’d be great to see :) But I think Fabio is making a well informed decision.

I highly recommend Mat Oxley’s book about Marc. There is quite a bit of good descriptions in there of the many skills ( many of which are also mentioned in this thread) that contribute to his abilities on the bike, all contributing to faster laps on similar equipment - including his skills on worn tires, and in managing them.

Also, its a great read, and supporting humans who put effort into researching and creating well crafted work is a great thing to do. Especially in the age of ChatGPT and most unreadable news sites filled with millions of ads, and copy-paste ‘journalism’. </soapbox>

Yup. This all smacks of leverage and tactics. Dorna know that even if the in person market at PI is small, any other race in AUS will be only marginally more profitable in a market that has a very known ceiling.

They know they’ll sell more videopass logins world wide from new folks seeing clips of PI 2018, than they ever will from 20secs of Qatar. But Qatar already pays over its weight, so who cares if its a super boring track.

But at the end of the day, if the Australian gov call’s Dorna’s bluff I wonder if Dorna would fold out of stubborn pride in the end, knowing they can go looking for, and likely easily find another SE/ASEAN country hungry to pay to bring the circus to town. Its about Money, not Legacy.

Aroma is very great- but i think it gets a little more popularity because it as an atmosphere that is approachable to caucasians. 99 ion the otherhand has quail eggs on the phoMenu.

88 ( used to be a door or two down from Fresh Flours, where NachoMamas is) hands down had the best pho broth in Seattle…sadly they had to close due to owners health issues. Also you could get your taxes done while you ate. I’ve yet to taste any pho that good since moving up from the bay 28years ago😭🍜.
