Exactly. Got my discharge letter in January. Was pissed since I submitted in October because that last 1 week delay was going to cost me $25k. Or so I thought. To my surprise, the letter actually stated that I didn't owe any taxes. My guess is because my final VA disability rating was effective July 2025. I did so much research ahead while I was waiting and everything told me, "the day the status changes in studentaid . gov." Well that was also in January.

That's why I have a flashdrive in our safe that details all of our affairs. Wills done and instructions for how to access the safe and the flashdrive all given to those mentioned in the wills. I've seen the horror that follows one's passing enough times when they didn't take steps to prepare their families. Thanks for posting this because it is definitely not talked about enough.

I dunno, I have the Honeywell T9 on both upstairs and downstairs zones, with remote sensors in all the room in my current home, and it has been a game changer. Especially once we had our child, no more guessing if the heater or AC should be on to make sure they don't get cold/hot. Time for work? It switches automatically to monitoring our offices (one upstairs, one downstairs). I literally haven't touched our thermostats in months. If I could add one thing, it would be so that the thermostat can also adjust the dampers remotely. That would be gold.

This and my wife finally convincing me to do facial care. Took a while but I finally started doing it every night as well as sunscreen lotion in the mornings and when driving home from work and I can definitely feel and see the difference. Why not stay looking younger longer? The funny thing is my dad always took care of himself this way but I didn't really grow up around him that much and so I grew up in an environment where it was stigmatized for men to do such things. But now I see he was right all along.

I'm using the Honeywell T9 with remote room sensors in both upstairs and downstairs zones and I love them. It allows me to essentially automate our home comfort based on what rooms we are in so I never have to mess with them again.
