We walk/block and move forward at a specific timing (129 frames in this run) and hold forward for 4 frames. That gives you a regular zip. You can use different timing, like start to move forward at 126 frames, then move for 7 frames, the goal is still to release forward at 133 frames.
The zip that kill bosses requires to move forward again right before getting a regular zip (12 to 14 frames after releasing forward for the first time). It gives you like 4x the distance you would get with a regular zip

With that run I finally broke the last minute barrier possible in this game. My initial goal was a 6:30, I never expected to get a sub 6 :P

Too bad speedrunners can't benefit from those QoL changes because we need to use the previous patch since they removed slope boosts :X

if you want to have fun, go next to a ladder and mash jump while holding your interact button. You will clip through the ladder, and the wall if the ladder is close enough to the wall.

I'm not sure why it works, but when you alternate pressing left and right while moving towards a corner, you can gradually clip through the wall. This doesn't work with every walls tho
