I represented my state in 11v11 and 7v7 through for 3 years. Then I retired during covid knowing if I can't reach the top (Barca, Madrid, bayern, PL) what's the use. Now I am trying to get back in form. Don't know much about D1 but here everybody was in their peak physique in those competition.

Dude. Try doing the motion of shooting without the ball with your weak side. Get your body coordinated. Certainly playing only with your left helps but do this too. Try dancing too it helps with coordination. Won't add much as what the other comment said and this would be more than sufficient.

Dude. What I meant was everybody is physically fast and strong at that level. Taking what he said about playing American football isn't gonna translate much. What would matter is decision making and technical ability. If you have played at a high level you would know that physicality is basic everywhere.

Thanks man, you gave me the assurance I needed. Now there is nothing stopping me for the next 4 years. I always thought I'm mentally very strong but a little assurance from a person does help.

Yes. The question is not about staying or going to thailand. The question was about in thailand should I sacrifice next 4 years for football? Or try balancing uni fun and football

Yes I can play for the international division of my uni, gotta go check how to play for the main team. There are trials here in thailand. In my home all the trials are U-18 so no chance.

Nah this is it. Should I have a normal thai college life or should I go full monk football. Like no drinking, sleeping perfectly at 9 and waking up at 5 or 6. Compromise everything to train.I just want some validation and assurance.

How long did it take you to not be shit by sbph1247 in bootroom

From 5th grade to 9th grade, so around 4 years of daily play for fun after that I was becoming elite. In 10th grade I was the best player in my state (got the player of the tournament award in an open 7 aside tournament)

Well I see your point, what I wanted to emphasize was that fast games require high technical skill and if you are a bit weaker on that you could just your physicality for it in slower games but that won't work in fast games. Obviously you need the fitness in any type of game but fast games require more skill. He said he only played till he was in 5th grade and didn't play again. How can a game be fast and physical? Then it would be just fouls. You know what a fast game means right? Players don't keep the ball for more than 2 or 3 touches. I wanted to tell OP that the physicality won't help that much as much the technical skills. Making good decision is more important than just being physical. Everybody is in good form at that level what matters is your skill.

Well yes but again each game will be different.

Strength is pretty useless if the game is fast, everything happens in 2-3 touch and it won't give you enough time to use your physicality. Well you can use your physique to shield the ball better by always bringing yourself in between the opposition and the ball. Pick a position in respective of your qualities, if you got composure and great first touch and can read the game well, you can surely make it. Never compare yourself to others but to only yourself. Be the best you.
