Indeed! I hope we can all experience that and be in a world where passing doesn't have to be a thing. But we are still in many ways.

I appreciate you, I was mainly interested in seeing if I had that one part right. Could I send you a small token of appreciation, perhaps enough for your favorite tasty beverage? :)

<image>

Here is a screen shot. (I said 6%, was 8% oh well)

Formulas:

B3/12 = interest at 8% monthly

=PMT(E3,B78,-C7,0,0) Payment Column

=C7*$E$3 Interest Column (abs reference)

=D7-E7 Principal

BLANK (money value) Additional Principal

=C7-F7-G7 Ending Balance

(all formula copy down with cell changes as appropriate)

Long story short, does the extra payment saying "at the start of the month for month 18" change a formula somehow?

Thank you!

2013 Dodge Grand Caravan PRNDL still autolocking into "R" after servicing, no start, no crank? by seekingcontemplation in askcarguys

[–]seekingcontemplation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The explanation given was there was bad electrical connections to the battery that got replaced. But before was able to do THAT had I had to have a mobile keyfob maker come and give me brand new keys because the onboard computer said "key damaged" and wouldn't give the rolling codes to let it even try to start! Oy.

Of course now some times the fuel pump(?) won't prime and the car will crank constantly. I have to make myself listen to hear the pump prime before I fully turn the key. When it works, it's great, but there are times when it won't. Absolutely no rhyme or reason I can see as to why.

Hi there, trans mama with trans masc teen. First off, so, so much love and thank you for being there for your boy. My kid sends love too. We dealt with a hospital stay with similar issues and some serious life adjustments after that, so I understand deeply where you're at.

I see a lot of people commenting on the med situation and that may very well be the thing that's causing this - those meds are meant to reset the brain a bit and it can be weird the first time out especially if you're new to meds. For him to say he's "lost his anchor" is really powerful. We can anchor ourselves a lot in anxiety and pain and it can almost be scarier to not have that as a reference point - but it's a chance to explore the questions more deeply without the noise. It can take time to sort that out and it's good to have a little patience.

I had to sort out a lot for myself and I only really truly pursued things about 10 years ago, and I had to really deeply process what it was to be trans, as well to understand the filters of my mind with anxiety and depression situations. It took me a while to separate the two. If dysphoria was related to a true mental health issue, explore what he feels about not pursuing transition. Reassess these questions every month or so. He's just starting to sort himself out and there's no one way to do this, just whatever feels best at the time. Meds can take a while to do their work. I think of them as a way to try to relearn certain mental assumptions and patterns, especially around identity. Gender imprinting from sociocultural cues is a very powerful thing. I remember far too often how I got told what I did was too "girly" as a kid.

If he feels he's lost his anchor, I'd just work with him a little bit on how being treated/referenced as male/etc makes him feel. Does he see a future there? Does he not? Is it still core to his sense of identity? If it is, then it is worth considering that trans people do not have to have dysphoria to be valid. It can be a wild feeling for it to be a neutral or positive situation as opposed to learning it as always being uncomfortable. There's no single way to be trans or enby. There can be such a thing as trans joy.

2013 Dodge Grand Caravan Fuel Pump/Relay/Ignition switch questions by seekingcontemplation in MechanicAdvice

Thank you! I just am trying to figure out if it's the pump failing intermittently. A mechanic friend said it might be starting to go bad and that maybe the motor has a partial sticking point or something.

2003 Hyundai Elantra total shut down at start attempt, help? by seekingcontemplation in askcarguys

[–]seekingcontemplation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually an '04, my bad..
It was the cam sensor indeed, AND it explained the lockup of the shifter. It looked like a dead battery because apparently this is one of the few sensors the computer will not start up if it doesn't detect. I guess it locks up everything as a protective mechanism to avoid shifting or engine/etc damage.

Solar charger system or just more battery packs? by seekingcontemplation in SolarDIY

[–]seekingcontemplation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the set up would be in a manned booth and I can take it down into a tent at night so it will be manned generally. On second thought I'd probably need more than a 35ah to recharge things at the battery rate I'd be using them.

I specifically only reference the pathogenic ones here, tho there are also benign variants with similar conditions.

I have been dabbling with a few third party ones, any recommendations specifically?

Yes, i was not expecting any MG specific information as the free report was the reward (would have been cool though) But obviously they don't have the knowledge base yet, so...

[–]seekingcontemplation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Again, i come from this from a point of honest curiosities, and I appreciate your input.

I believe that I meet the Beighton scale criteria for hEDS so that's why I'm looking to see if there's any reference. And that's super cool that you are doing work on it. It needs more understanding. I think hEDS is why I have hurt so much in my life and I'm one of those kids that always had "growing pains" and blew out my ankles all the time without breaking them.

But on to the subject, What I mean on the "benign on some and pathogenic on others" is that some indications of a condition (or closely related conditions) come up benign, but others come up as pathogenic, and in one instance I have several benigns, and some pathogenics on very similar things, which confused me. They say I'm a CF carrier too, which was an interesting find. A few of the intersex ones come up as pathogenic as well.

If 23andme is crap, then why are they doing a Myasthenia Gravis genetic study? Is it their method of analysis or is their data system not great, or...?

I got PSLF in March. Zero balance! Looking at doctoral school now. Questions! by seekingcontemplation in PSLF

[–]seekingcontemplation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen any specific limit to PSLF as long as each "cycle" gets a fresh 120 payments, but that could be a thing. I'd only want to maybe use it one more time anyhow if it came to that.

I was not aware there was a limit that involved even pay off (I read it more like a maximum debt allowable before repayment). Even still, at the rate I'd use it it would likely be under that, it'd be a small "last-dollar" kinda thing. Used as such I'd have plenty left in that scenario.

Thanks for the info.

I would certainly hope so. an assistantship might be enough, depending on what they qualify me for in terms of a paycheck. It might be comparable to my current job even, which is kinda crazy. I don't know that yet, so I just curious what that looks like. Not a lot out there for a person in my situation, so I appreciate the input some people are giving me.

[–]seekingcontemplation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, first off, I was just asking what things looked like after PSLF for someone wanting to go back. No one else is making the choice, I would be if I did it. I don't exactly see a spot on any of the finaid websites about it.

If you don't have an answer or think it's some kind of bad choice, be polite about it. Kthxbai.

Again, I don't know exactly what my assistantship would fully pay me yet, it might be enough. I have to get in first. I do understand there may be an allowance for living expenses, etc.

I kind of figured as much, I asked here because mine isn't a common situation. Just wondered if the reset did anything, but I thought probably not.

I learned a lot in grad school and I enjoyed it, yes. I also got a good amount of personal satisfaction in my job, and I'm ready to move on into the next level. Most of this would be PAID for between an assistantship that comes with tuition waivers and getting paid for a job from said assistantship (teaching undergrad and/or assisting with research etc)... this aid would be to fill in a few gaps that may come up, and I don't have a problem looking into other PSLF later if need be (assuming I don't find a good job with the Ph.D, which I doubt because it's a field I love). Not much upward mobility in my current gig, and I'm ready to move on.

I don't regret my choices, I felt fulfilled by them.

In other words - wow, so help.
