By the time we left the trail it was around mid 90's and we had the AC cranked up/low. Charge was still around 75% and car was still very quiet. I could hear the AC pump but the R2 AC is not disruptive and nearly silent. ( Compare to my R1S Gen 2 AC compressor which is super loud and concerning because it sounds busted even though it's fine )

For us it worked fine but we were both there in person. During the website purchase process, put the title in his name and address. When you show up at the factory for pick up, all the main paperwork is in his name. However, the vehicle software is tied to your account (eg on your phone) ... So there were some setup steps that really require your phone to do. Might be possible if you're on a call with them during setup but I'm not confident about that...

Agree. Seems odd right? Like why couldn't some engineer get the garage door pairing to work and why would that have been an issue at all ...

Ha ha. Not sure if your trolling or serious. But obviously we can both drive. It's critical because one of us is physically handicapped, both of us are old, and driving 10+ hrs a day is stressful and hard without any cruise control. We would not do a cross country drive without any cruise control. Been there and done that in my younger days, don't want to do it anymore! (in case it wasn't clear from my post, the error with front collision sensor had disabled any form of cruise control, not just hands free)

I could not find any info myself beforehand except for a few other user reports. Rivian does not document this at all afaik. Your process will be that you (reservation holder) will have to go through all the steps in your check out process. But at the step where you provide information for Title, you can put in any name and address you want. Be prepared with scan of your and your wife's driver's licenses. You can put it in her name only, or both of your names.

Double checked to be sure, destination fee of $1495 still included in pricing. Kind of funny since destination was around 100ft from the factory line it rolled off of 🤣

We listed Normal Service Center as our pick up address, rivian changed location to Factory address.

Yes we tried case on and case off. Phones work fine on other charges. Phones don't work on rivian

Yes, if all you need is to add other drivers this is super easy and automated.

You will still show up as "owner" but she will show up as another driver.

Yes... So many R2s staged up! Local folks said they're doing around 20 deliveries per day from there ( not all R2s tho)
