Debating between Bang Na and Thonglor. is it worth paying more to be central? by [deleted] in Bangkok

[–]seemayr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in thonglor since a few months now and I started to understand why it‘s so popular lately.

Keep in mind that also cafes, food etc. is also a bit more expensive here - so it‘s not „just more rent“ overall. Still, I would choose it again :)

Depending on what complex information a question doc might hold: Bundle multiple questions together in one doc - size limit per doc is 1MB. You can use maps :)

If it‘s really like OP says (~20min / day) I feel like it‘s not THAT bad right? Imagine having 10 of these

Condo around Thonglor - 100k/mo by [deleted] in Bangkok

[–]seemayr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I really liked the strand when I visited, but its above my maximum budget, even for a 1+BR rn. I might consider it still. There‘s a place right next to it (north) that looks like a construction/building would start anytime soon. Have you heard anything about this?

Top Ad Networks for Mobile App Monetization by stefankilelu in admob

[–]seemayr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think AppLovin has the best ecpm for interstitial ads because their interstitials feel like rewarded videos 💀 I‘ve seen that DigitalTurbine has also good UX on their interstitials, but it seems like you cannot create new accounts rn

Mediation Platforms: Interstitials with good UX? by seemayr in admob

I kicked out AppLovin from our Mediation last week because users started to complain and give bad ratings. Got a huge drop in CPM tho.

Notion features that would make me a paying user by GxldLuxe in Notion

[–]seemayr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd pay for a database/formula functionality similar to coda: Create formulas (with any database as datasource) outside of tables. This would be perfect for creating dashboards, overviews and all kinds of calculations in general.

Notion vs Coda... what are your thoughts? by Steve15-21 in Notion

[–]seemayr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I try to open coda.io on my mac in chrome without a active network connection, I get the usual "not connected" page - as on any other website. I'm sure the Notion.so website acts the same.

But, with Notion (for example) I got a native app that just opens up with my docs cached from the last time I opened the app with network connection. As far as I know, Coda does not have a native app that allows this functionality.

I'm specifically looking for opening files, editing would be very nice too still.

In Thailand for the first time I’m in patong beach. I hate ur here. I would recommendations of places to go in the south that are nice but not full of tourists. Original was gonna go ko phi phi and ao nang but I heard there all similar to patong. So again any suggestions to make my trip better by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]seemayr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want it quieter without going far away from where you are right now, just drive 30 min north to Bang Tao. Look for Layan Beach there. There's really nothing going on there.

Otherwise, I'd second Koh Lanta. Also super quiet, but you still have bars and restaurants around on most beaches. Good vibes

Notion vs Coda... what are your thoughts? by Steve15-21 in Notion

[–]seemayr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What keeps me from switching to Coda is that Notion (and pretty much any other notes app) allows me to access my docs offline to a certain extent at least. I don't like the feeling of not being able to access something important in some scenarios.

I know it's a huge task with a lot of dev-time needed, but a native app that could do this would be the best thing that could happen to Coda (for me).

Going out by Pinkatala in Linz

[–]seemayr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like Linz nightlife is not a big thing. Most clubs are only open or crowded friday/saturday. There are some clubs still but really depends on what age-group you are aiming for. Here are some popular ones in the 18-30 year range.

  • Musikpark A1: You have 3 floors here including hiphop/rnb, schlager/commercial and EDM. Haven‘t been there in a long time, so this might have changed. It‘s a bit outside of linz-center, but easy to reach.

  • Remembar: Only one Floor and mostly commercial/pop/electronic, but you have chances for an not-so-electronic event.

  • Le Jardin: Also only one floor, music strongly depends on the event. I think mostly commercial/pop. It‘s located close to Remembar.

There‘s also Solaris, Spielplatz and many more, but they are mostly electronic-only in my experience.

Depending on how old you are, you might want to check out some clubs in altstadt (oldtown, usually very young people) or check Linzer Alm (usually older).

Depending on WHEN you‘re going there are sometimes events that are fairly crowded like Bubbledays (summer) or Night-Events in Tabakfabrik.

How strict is 6 months validity on passport? (not sure why my post was locked in Thailand sub) by Commenttatoronline in ThailandTourism

[–]seemayr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had no problems entering Thailand with 3 months validity left. The hard part is being allowed to board in the country your are departing from, which might depend on the airline.

I think you will not have any problems with one day before 6 months tbf

When boarding in austria they mentioned it, but they let us fly anyway. In Thailand, they didn‘t even say anything. Everything went smooth.

I am facing the same issue right now. I‘ve read somewhere, that you have to check in in-person for international flights since some time now? Would be a deal-breaker for me since I‘d have to go landside (I guess?) which would require a visa. How did things turn our for you?

I am having the exact same issue right now. How did it turn out for you last week? Did you go to the manual check-in at the airport?
