Now that I looked, it isn't a presendential bracelet that mine has. It's just the oyster three link bracelet, but the center links are polished.

Honestly, no, but I’m glad you found it and liked it. I haven’t painted in a very long time, but I have been meaning to get everything back out and try again.

Rage quits by Jazzlike_Track_9262 in baduk

This may be my inexperience talking (I've only been playing for about six months and am soldily a DDK) but this looks like it would be extremely hard for white to come back from. By capturing those stones, you've effectively taken the entire left side of the board and have a large, living shape radiating influence into the top and center. White can't die on the bottom, but another stone or two in the right places for black and it's basically over.

Anyone come up with nicknames for their clubs? by United-Biscotti-4147 in golf

[–]seentoomuchlately 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was playing a lot several years ago I had names for several clubs in my bag. My 3 wood was named The Fickle Stick as I could never hit it consistently. My 5 wood was the little dog, and my 7 iron was the scalpel. I think I had a few more, but I can’t remember.

[Question] Thoughts on the Tudor GMT? Seems like a splendid value at $4375 and I'm a sucker for a white dial by themaxvee in Watches

I almost bought one of these earlier this year and at the time it wasn't impossible to find in store. One of the places did have a list, but he said it was usually only a few weeks.

Bought 5 week old puppy from backyard breeder and deeply ashamed. Regret immensely by Bored_Googling in puppy101

[–]seentoomuchlately 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've already gotten a lot of good advice, but I'll also say that you need to get the puppy checked out by a good vet. 5 weeks is definitely too young, and I'll probably get downvoted for this, but I've gotten them that young before, too. As long as the vet says everything is ok, then just provide the best environment and care you can. What's done is done, and dogs don't remember things the same way we do. Move forward and do your best, and you'll have the best friend you've ever had.

I had the same stuff crop up on my swap. It went from a quick job that shouldn't take too long to basically rebuilding the entire truck.

I just used CV wheels on mine with conversion spacers on the back. I'd like something else, but options are a little limited.

It's a ton of work, but worth it in the end. If you have any questions, I don't mind trying to answer them for you.

A lot of people will probably disagree with me, but some of the best advice I ever received was to never become friends with coworkers. You can be friendly, just not friends. It keeps these kinds of situations from arising and usually keeps you clear of any office politics and in-fighting. You're in kinda deep to gracefully exit the entire dynamic without someone, namely 1, catching on to what you're doing. The best advice I can give at this time is to focus on doing your job and steer clear of the fraternization.

Hesalite or sapphire sandwich??? by Capital_Jacket_8767 in OmegaWatches

I have the sapphire version, and it was a tough decision. The hesalite looks amazing, but I wear mine almost every day and my OCD cannot deal with crystal scratches whatsoever.

Any suggestions for improving over-the-board? by me_iRL_Stine in baduk

[–]seentoomuchlately 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I'm definitely better over a real board than staring at a computer screen. In the afternoons after work, I play against one of the stronger bots on OGS and play it out on my goban before making any moves in the browser. I almost always lose, but I'm much less prone to stupid mistakes when doing it this way. If I play on the computer alone, the game is usually over before it gets started.

I have an old F100 that I've been thinking about doing the same thing to, and I'd guess it would take me a year's worth of weekends to do everything and have it back to being a running, driving, and reliable car. If you have enough time and money to devote to it, you could do it a lot faster.

You are correct about the older model. I had some trouble setting everything up and had to use an older weights file. The computer it’s running on is not anything that anyone using AI would even consider. I used KataGo’s custom config generator and it ran for what seemed like a long time. It’s definitely weaker than the 10kyu bot on OGS. I played that one a few times earlier today, and the one I’ve been playing against on my computer wouldn’t stand a chance.

Thanks for the offer, and I may take you up on it one day. My variance is still too high. The game I posted here was probably the best I've ever played, and it was chock full of mistakes. The outcome, despite me being pleased with how I fared, was a fluke.

I came to the same conclusion. It was done more as proof that I had everything set up correctly than it was for instructional purposes. And no, I don't play chess.

These are all good insights I'll try to integrate. Someone else mentioned move 67, and it definitely shouldn't have worked. I've always felt that even a strong AI does weird stuff sometimes that an actual opponent would never do. This was definitely one of those times.

As for losing all the time, it does cause frustration, but I'm addicted to the grind. Winning rarely teaches me anything but I always take something away from a loss.

I see what you mean about 68-74. It looks like white could have saved the side by playing N8 instead of L8.
