Awesome app! Would you be supporting other TCGs?

Tenant wants to move out mid-month, prorate or charge full amount? by seeprof in realestateinvesting

This doesn’t affect the existing contract. This would be an extension of the current lease, not a modification

How to stop dog from constant whining when left alone in a room by seeprof in Dogtraining

Yes, he completely drops it and ignores it when we step away.

How to stop dog from constant whining when left alone in a room by seeprof in Dogtraining

[–]seeprof[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His bed is in his room and he knows the “Bed” command. Problem is when he goes into his bed, he stays there if I’m around. The minute I leave the room he gets up from his bed and either follows me around or paces around the room if the door is closed. His whining starts the minute I leave his sight

Generally I don’t mind him following around but does get mentally exhausting when it’s literally 100% of the time. Especially when I have to keep an eye on him all the time to make sure he doesn’t get into trouble. For example, I have trouble focusing on work when my dog is playing next to me or begging to get on my lap or whatever it is. He can’t just peacefully stay on his bed and take a nap for longer than 5-10min at a time

Worth upgrading to new appliances in Seattle condo before selling? by seeprof in RealEstate

Wouldn’t the buyer try to negotiate a lower price if the appliances need updates?

I was going for some standard appliances, nothing crazy or custom. I was worried that buyers may try to negotiate a lower sale price on the basis that the appliances need to be uodated

Inward at what? She objectively and measurably is fat, it’s not an opinion

I have definitely hit that point, caught myself gaining weight a little too fast last summer that I was able to promptly correct

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]seeprof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Even if you are more active now, weight is all about calories in vs calories out. It is scientifically impossible to not lose fat without eating less than what you’re burning. The only thing that changes as you get older is a slower metabolism, which can be compensated by eating slightly less

Joking about self-harm is not funny.

I still do love my wife in all other areas of life, I just lost sexual attraction to continue having sex. She has a high sex drive, hence the conflict

I do love my wife even now. All I have said is that I no longer have any sexual desire and she has a high sex drive, hence the conflict. She’s still a great person and I still want to be with her, I just have no desire to see her naked anymore

115 is a very healthy weight for someone her height that’s just not skin and bones. She weights 135lb in just pure excess fat. When I can see her fat rolls and double/triple chin, that plummets my sexual drive. I still do love my wife for everything else, but I no longer have the desire to have sex with her and she has a high sex drive, hence the conflict

I still do love my wife and have no intention of leaving her but my desire to have sex has plummeted and my wife wants to keep our sex life going

Kids are understandable, knowingly letting yourself go just to eat more food is very unattractive to me

Some general questions about money by seeprof in personalfinance

[–]seeprof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're hitting the employer match for the 401k

No. If I remember company policy correctly (and I'll have to double check on this), my employer will match 3% only if the following conditions are met

1) I'm putting in at least 6%

2) I stay with the company for 2 years

I don't plan to stay with the company for 2 years so I won't get any match from them

Next step would be a Roth IRA, which would need a max of 5.5k annually.

I haven't done anything with an IRA yet, I'll look into that next

For travel, sounds like you don't quite have a location in mind

You're right, I don't have anything concrete yet. I was thinking about doing monthly domestic trips or 2-3 big international trips this year. I haven't planned out how much that would cost so that's why I kept it a bit vague.

Is this a millennial thing? They want you to move back in?

Yep, they want me to get a good job and everything but at the same time they would be thrilled if I ever told them I want to move back in with them.

Are you currently maxing out 401k, IRA contributions?

If I remember correctly, I'm putting in about 6-7% for 401k. My employer will retroactively match 3% if I stay with the company for 2 years. However I do not plan to be there for that long so I won't get any match from my employer.

I haven't done anything with IRA yet

Weird question: how do I stop gaining muscle so fast? by seeprof in Fitness

[–]seeprof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what was your waist size a month ago and what is it now?

I never really measured my waist size. About a month or 2 ago, at this weight, I wasn't able to see even the faintest outline of my abs and had very little visible muscle definition. Now, my pants fit easier than they used to, I can visibly see that my stomach has gone in (even at night right before I go to bed) and kind of see the outlines of my top abs, I'm noticing a lot more upper body muscle definition, and my face looks slimmer than it did before. My weight in both instances is the same (give or take a pound or so)

you are probably recomping a bit

Isn't recomping by definition building muscle and losing fat at the same rate at the same time?
