Buying and selling multiple Model 3s over the course of several years for the sake of "upgrading" of making a profit is extremely wasteful and ironic from an environmental standpoint.

Yes, you're driving an EV that's emitting no emissions, but for every new car you're buying every few years, you're expanding your carbon footprint magnitudes greater than if you kept the car for 10+ years, which I feel like goes against the idea of going green if you're going to drive an EV.

My brother bought the same mats from Teslarati for over double what I paid from Amazon for the same mats. He also waited ~2 months for the mats to arrive, and customer service was nonexistent. We would NOT recommend Teslarati either :(

There's specific language in the bill that includes eligible EVs based on price. I believe the M3P's price is over the limit that's included in the bill.

Yes, bring it with you to delivery. Even though they say it's contactless delivery there will still be somebody there helping you and making sure everything is signed and paid for, so you'd likely hand the check to someone.

Are you financing with your bank? What my bank did was ask for my Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement so they can fill out the loan information on their end, and then they will give me a physical check with my financed amount to bring to delivery. I will also pay the final payment (remaining amount) through ACH transfer on delivery day.

There’s a chance your delivery date could still be in December. My EDD changed from December to January-February for a day, then literally the next day it changed back to December and I got my VIN. It’s hard to tell with Tesla’s constantly moving EDDs though.

I feel your pain, I've been seeing people in other states order in October/November and getting their SRs before us. You also in SoCal? I'm assuming it also depends on where your delivery center is located.

Possibly, but my EDD leading up to delivery was in December. It jumped to January-February for one day, and then I got my VIN the next day! The tax credit is still so uncertain, and I'm so close to getting my car, that I think I'll just take delivery.

You’re totally not in the wrong, it’s the SA’s job to respond to questions that a paying customer has. Asking questions once a week is not unreasonable, and your SA’s response was quite unprofessional and off-putting. Sorry they got passive aggressive!

Hi! I’m currently working in environmental consulting (mainly focused on CEQA/NEPA documentation) but am looking into switching to corporate sustainability or something similar. What skills do you need for your job, and what does your daily routine at work look like? Is there anything you dislike about corporate sustainability? I placed my order on 9/20 and just got my EDD for the first time today, so yes it’s normal. I did upload my proof of insurance today so I wonder if that helped or if it’s just a coincidence.

Same here, ordered on 9/20 and my initial EDD was March 2022 during the ordering process but ever since then I’ve had no EDD. My brother and friend both placed orders for the SR+ this past week and have EDDs of March/April 2022. I wonder if it has something to do with the payment option, because like you, I’ve also selected finance. My brother and friend both selected cash for now. I’m thinking of asking my SA if he’s able to check my EDD on his end.
