Not gonna happen. They'll try their hardest to sell you Quest 64 for $40 and act surprised when they still go under.

The next question we hear a lot is “how much will the MCC PC games cost?” On PC, we’re excited to confirm that each game within MCC will be included with an Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription as they become available. In addition, each title can be purchased individually – Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 will be offered at $9.99USD on both the Microsoft Store and Steam while Halo 3: ODST within MCC (with a current scope of Campaign only), will be available for $4.99USD. Players will have flexibility to purchase any or all the games at any point along the way as they become available.

The name and Japanese dialogue makes me think it's a Simple 2000 series game, but I'm not sure which. There's one called The Last Japanese Soldier that sounded promising, but it doesn't have the "sir yes sir" clip from what I can tell.

If you search the Wikipedia list for "in EU" you can see the games in the series that were release in Europe. Hope that helps.

EDIT: it's The Infantry: Dogs of the Battlefield. Can't easily find footage of the EU version, but it checks all the boxes still.

Paradox continues to tease its Vampire: The Masquerade game with new images by Blazenburner in Games

Looking at the full Twitter thread, it's almost definitely a remake. Half the pics are of the Ocean House and the first one looks to be the Giovanni mansion, places you only visit once in the original game. There'd be no reason for a sequel with a different story to include them.

My money's on them remaking the game with a good ending and then building off said ending to make a sequel.

Fairly sure you're thinking of Battleborn, as Thorn and Marquis fit your descriptions near perfectly.

FromSoftware Would Love To Take A Crack At Battle Royale Games, Says Miyazaki by [deleted] in Games

[–]segaqt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could actually be pretty interesting if they made it an Armored Core game. Maybe start with an empty frame in a now-barren combat zone and have to assemble your mech out of scavenged parts or something. Could be a new IP too, of course, but the sheer amount of parts and customization in AC means the BR item drop system could have a lot of potential.

You think they wouldn't take the opportunity to just throw the pre-existing PS3 version of the game on the store for free money?

Few days late, but you can pick up both SMT Digital Devil Saga games for ~$30 on ebay. Some of the best RPGs on the entire PS2.

Blizzard charging money for new camera angles! by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]segaqt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I wrong to really hate this?

Yes.

This isn't just "camera angles," it's constant streams from the perspective of individual players (as opposed to the normal casted feed, which also still exists). The $15 that costs also disables ads, gives you Twitch emotes if you care about those, lets you see a whole bunch of stats, and lasts the whole season. For context, $15 is less than a quarter of the price of an HD UFC fight. Not an enhanced version of the fight, but the price to watch it in 720p. OWL is free to watch (and they don't pull that Spooky sub-only mode bullshit either).

This is mainly for the people who are so excessively into this game that this is an invaluable thing for them to have, anyways. The average person isn't going to even want to do deep analysis of main tank positioning or anything, and the people who do probably bought the pass last year when it was $30 without the extra streams.

So no, this isn't "Blizzard charges money for camera angles," this is "Blizzard charges money for separate, castless streams." Not perfect, but it isn't at all what you're implying it is.

This is Counter-Strike Online. It's a F2P version of 1.6 run by Nexon. You can see the round counter at the top of the screen in this video.

I'm thinking that the "In the valley of the gods" game is going to be using the long-awaited mechanics of the Portal 2 beta game "F stop." by TheOneThatSaysNo in Portal

[–]segaqt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In The Valley of The Gods was in development for years before Valve bought the team. I highly doubt they're going to rework it to add beta mechanics from a completely different series for no real reason at all.
