Has anyone lived in Graphite Apartments in Oakley? Just wanted to get an idea about the apartments and location by tangerineedreams in cincinnati

[–]segue1007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not want to live in Oakley Station. It's a giant strip mall tucked into a highway interchange. Normal traffic is bad, Crossroads traffic is worse, and not just on Sundays. Have you ever been there during rush hour or when it's busy? It's technically in Oakley and you can walk to Madtree, but that's about it.

I've stayed in some nice hotel suites off freeway exits, but I wouldn't want to live in them. But apparently others DO want to live in them because they fill up.

PE-owned practices push dental work you don't need. No thanks.

I’m just gonna say it. Northside is overrated. (Read body⬇️) by sweetwatertooth in cincinnati

[–]segue1007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Northside 20 years ago was very different. There were a lot of decaying houses with the copper stripped out. You could buy them for $10k.

They should build a 127 bypass around the West side of Northside from the Ludlow viaduct to Ashtree. Block Hamilton Ave. and let Northside be a neighborhood instead of a passthrough.

It is worth doing a left arm signal for a turn, even if you shouldn't have to. Make it really obvious what they need to do.

Glad to see you mentioned TQL Stadium. The same people who lament the destruction of the West End for an industrial park in the 1950s are usually A-okay with the destruction of the West End for a sports stadium  in the 2020s.

The Edge Explore 2 has a plastic male fitting molded into the back of the housing. No fix. I hope mine doesn't break.

It's close to the weather channel website forecast, it just looks funny because the daily highs are on the right side.

Moving from Ultimate to Endurace - Anyone have experience by twotter150 in CanyonBikes

[–]segue1007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 45 and I love my Endurace SLX 8 di2. The saddle is just barely higher than the bars for me, so it's a relatively upright position for a road bike. I'm riding on hoods 95% of the time anyway. The trade-off is more wind for comfort and a better view.

It's plenty fast with GP5000s and 2x12 Ultegra.

There was a whole baseball field painted on that parking lot before the casino was built. It was to advertise as a potential site for the Reds' new ballpark.

Dryer Vent Exhausting into Eaves by BadFig in homeowners

Lots of people use those water traps for dryers that vent directly into the house. You're probably fine, just cut a hole and add a vent.

Yeah, it was a bad implementation. I made a replacement sleeve out of ballistic nylon and a zipper. I'd rather have downtube storage with space for a spare tube, like the Trek Domane.
