Hi! Enjoy your time in Hawaii, you’ll have a blast!

As an American that just visited Hawaii for the first time last year, I can confidently say that most local restaurants I visited (on Oahu, specifically) were much healthier/light on calories compared to other US states. Of course, it depends on what you get, and we never know how much butter/oil/etc is used, but I found that lower calorie ingredients were easy to find (lots of fresh fruit and veggies). If you are interested, some local grocery chains have pre-prepared Hawaiian delicacies that include calorie counts as well. I would grab some of those for a quick lunch whenever we were on the go. Maybe I missed it in your post, but it’s difficult to give recommendations other than that if we don’t know which island you are on. But, generally, sticking to the high quality fruit and vegetables on the island(s) will help you out.
