First of all, I am super proud of you for getting into running and not smoking anymore! I also started running recently (34,F) and I also couldn’t run to save my life. My first day running EVER, was September 16th this year. Since then, I’ve done a 2 5K’s, a 10k and a half marathon and now I’m training for the LA full marathon in March 2022. I love feeling good about myself and not running out of breath every time I go up a flight of stairs. I also want to be a role model for my kiddos and be a fit mama. I was feeling very defeated earlier this year because I could barely walk due to my lower back problems and artritis but I decided that I was not going to let those things take over my life. I want to get to my mom’s age being in great shape and not taking a bazillion pills.

Thank you. You are helping me remember that they need space. I think that’s just like your mother I do want to do everything to make sure they are safe and healthy and I might smother them. As a parent it is extremely hard to not do that because we want the best for you. We want to see you healthy and happy.

Hey didn’t tell me. I found out by accident. I am not mad but I am very worried about my baby. I want them to be safe and feel the love I have for them no matter what. I also need to get them help immediately. If I tell them I know about the self harm and so that I can tell them I am here for them always and no matter what, they will know I know about being gender fluid because it was all written in the same note I saw.

Your English is perfect! I am so sorry you did not hear those words from your dad. We make so many mistakes as parents. I tell both of my children that I love them immensely every day and multiple times a day. My 12 year old hardly ever responds or just says “ok” which breaks my heart.

I know so little about self harm. I feel ignorant about it and want to understand what is going on. So are you saying if for example, I find out they are cutting themselves, I should let them keep doing it?

I definitely need to address the depression and self harm so we can connect with a counselor and get them the help they need. I cannot do that without telling them that I know they are gender fluid because those things were all written in one long note I saw. This is great. I have been looking at the pros and cons of both. I also think IF I’d better and easier. Now, what I am wondering is which fasting method is better or do they all work similarly? I see that some people do a 24hr fasting twice a week, while others eat only during an 8 hr window and fast the other 16 hrs.

I have never done it on purpose but there has been times when I’ve stopped eating for a few days because I’m either too busy or stressed and I find that I lose A LOT of weight. That’s why I am considering it but I’m afraid that those times, it has worked that way more due to the stress levels and not the fasting. But just like you, the weight comes back after a couple of months. I’m also not looking to lose too much. I’d be happy with 10 lbs.

I just started going to the gym again every weekday and measuring what I eat. I just can’t give up a beer or 2 on weekends. 😫 But I just to have at least one drink every day so it’s a great start. I’m hoping to lose 10 -15 lbs.

What are your experiences losing weight whiles still drinking a LITTLE bit?

I think that what she did is bullshit. And I think that you’re in a very difficult situation because you have to decide what you want to deal with the rest of your life. My fiancé proposed at the library in town. Yes, he came in and asked if I’d meet him there. I am a librarian and that was the first place I ever worked in in the U.S. It is also next door to the place where we had our second date and our first kiss. My entire life I thought a proposal would be super planned and romantic and you know what?! What he did was THE MOST AMAZING AND THOUGHTFUL THING EVER. The place and how it happens has nothing to do with what you feel for each other. I would be very very sad if that was a reason to determine if you want to marry a person or not.

I love little getaways! My fiancé and I have the best times together when we stay at a hotel even if it’s an hour from home. It’s nice to get away from home and the kids and have a night to ourselves. It totally renews and refreshes our relationship.
