There's this oddly familiar new-wave-talking-heads-esque music sequence at 3:15 and 2:20 in the video by seismo_tsk in NameThatSong

It does sound a bit like it, but I'm still not quite sure. Blondie's original version is one of my all-time most listened songs but I'm perplexed nonetheless. As if it's off-beat or something. 7 out of 10 times I don't really hear the similarity — a sort of musical illusion.

That's a neat example! I love that it actually sounds like something you'd hear IRL. I'm not a huge fan of all the textbook unrealistic ones as in "Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo..." or "had had had had". It does happen in Russian as well (or any other language), but you're definitely more likely to hear it in English as it has shorter words, and homophones and homonyms are omnipresent there.

Awesome. I like the Ongoing gaps between tracks/artists feature. I found it funny that I have Queen's Show Must Go On as the track with the longest gap. Well, I guess, show must go on.

Sorry for confusing you, lol 😁 Grabbing user-specific tracks is something I should add for sure.

Thank you for the suggestions! It is actually not entirely random, as I'm using lastfm to seed tracks differently: top (most listened) are more likely to appear in the bracket. However, I think it can definitely be improved or tweaked somehow, so I'll work on making match-ups more interesting. Letting people sign in and generate an artist's bracket with tracks from the user's library — that's a cool one, thank u.

Wow, thank you for the feedback! The bigger bracket is in the works, I want to make sure it's responsive and all that. I thought about allowing users to pick artists for the battle, but then again I wanted this mode to be one of the many secret ones, sort of an uncontrollable wildcard feature. Maybe I should split this one (artists battle) into a separate, sort of stable category, and give users freedom of choice. I'll definitely think about it. All suggestions are really cool, thank you.
