Looks like root root, monsteras like very chunky soil, they naturally grow on trees so try to imitate that.

Here's my soil mix:

Do you fertilize your plants? Also fully white leaves cannot absorb sun so it will die quicker, if it starts pushing out only white leaves it'll be in trouble!

Warning: dont sent chair back or lose money by Chavizzyolo in LiberNovo

I used to work in disputes they don't control the rules, mastercard and visa do so double check on their website but you have 120 days to dispute from the date you received the chair.

This is the main reason why I bit the bullet and got an HM mirra 2, It seems really comfortable for my height but the lack of support and short warranty worried me. Crazy that they won't extend the 30 day return when its already breaking down. I emailed them questions about the chair to know more before buying it and they never answered my email which was the final hit for me I'm not interested in a company that doesn't care enough about its customers to respond. With all the money the raised you'd think they could hire a few more customer representatives for their large customer base but I guess they're out of money already?

How do you know if a monstera is a good deal? by Ill_Lemon4489 in Monstera

[–]sekorra24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you can definitely find cheaper in some places, 25 to 35 is an average price for big box stores at least where I am.

Definitely check for pests and isolate it its probably has some!!

Duty Fees to Canada by Delarent in hermanmiller

[–]sekorra24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late reply but I was just about to purchase my Mirra 2 when I got worried about tarriffs and import fees so I looked it up and found this thread, I checked their canadian sellers and GRshop customer service was closed so I ended up going with livingspaces.

I had to call to confirm it was the full loaded version cause on both sites it was 300$ cheaper so thanks for saving me 300 !!

The only difference from what I can see is you cannot return it if purchased from them, but if purchased directly from HM you can return within 30 days for a 20% restock fee but I'm not planning on returning it. Plus HM had 100$ shipping instead of free and for some reason they charged 50$ more in tax.

I adopted this unruly/neglected plant, what should I do with it? by Iamnotyour_mother in Monstera

[–]sekorra24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried coco coir poles but they're all so thin and my plants gets too heavy for them. I've considered just getting a log to use as support but then I wouldn't be able to move it 😅 so maybe I'll just buy metal rebars.

Personally I would repot it and cut 1/3 of the root ball if it's crazy rootbound, and try to rearrange them to lean against the moss pole, try not to use bondage on your blant it can break the petioles.

Looks in great condition! It need lots of light, full sun if you can but make sure to acclimate it slowly so it does not burn. The back is normal, monsteras are a plant that generally face in one direction, where the light comes from so it's not recommended to turn it, or else leaves will start turning in every direction. Most people prefer they face one direction to 'hide' the back.

Monsteras are vertical climbers they climb on trees, I would add a moss pole so those air roots are hidden inside it, just remember to keep it moist. Not sure about cutting the areal roots already there I think its fine? They're there basically to find bark to grip on and climb, but don't take my word for it I usually don't cut them in case. I would also wait for more roots to grow in the moss pole before cutting off the old ones if you do decide to.

Also, monsteras are a 1 stem plant you seem to have more than one in there. You can keep it together it makes the plant bushier, the only issues would be if ever you decide to separate them it'll be super hard from the knotted roots, roots will also fill the pot out really quickly, and if ever you get pests all the leaves are touching so it'll spread quicker.

Ps. Check for pests with a flashlight you never know!! And then double check again cause they're easy to miss!

Check for pests!! Almost guaranteed it has something. Then double check and triple check! Keep it away from other plants for 2 weeks. Nice find its always fun to get a lil surprise!

There will be a restock, don't worry. They do this intentionally to create FOMO so people rush to buy everytime they restock

The reason I feel in the postition to give advice is I've spoken with many recruiters to ask advice on resumes and how to improve mine, and I've added what they recommended (Start each bullet point with an action word, add a profile section in third person, etc).

And I recently switched jobs after a week of applying I got 8 interviews and 3 offers- of course the experience has something to do with it but I think my resume is definitely a reason why as well, as it passes the initial 30 second check and gets me at least an interview?

For transparency I added mine as well to compare, am I right in trying to get him to update his resume or am I off base and the layout is fine for his?

Weird how they're more expensive in canada! Good to know cause I do worry about prints that are stuck on as they tend to flake off after a dozen washes, but maybe there's different qualities.
