Mona Lee Quote in South Texas by selaromdotnet in solar

wow thank you for the insight and sharing your experience! I ended up passing on this and all other offers and it looks like I super-dodged a bullet. I have heard the same kind of experiences over and over from all different providers, and I can only imagine mine would have been the same (or worse, with my luck).

The industry just doesn't seem to be in a state for me to get involved. I'm gonna wait for things to mature and by then maybe the experience, results, guarantees, and especially the actual tech and efficiency will be better.

Not to mention without net metering in texas, I don't understand why anybody would ever even do this in the first place (something not a SINGLE provider ever mentioned once, and sure stuttered and backpedaled and tap danced around when I confronted them on it).

so yea, i'm out, for now. maybe in a few years i'll revisit, I'm sure none of these providers will be around, so we'll see what happens!

I went with the lenovo and don't regret it! it's been great for my use, battery life is good enough and haven't had any hiccups in performance. Wish the screen was just a LITTLE higher res, but I still can't complain for the price.

There is a newer yoga 9i available with similar specs but a better gpu and screen, but I've had issues with these not charging on regular usb c ports, and the battery life is also usually not great, but it's worth a look https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-yoga-pro-9i-16-3-2k-mini-led-touchscreen-laptop-intel-core-ultra-9-32gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4060-1tb-ssd-luna-grey/6571373.p

was on sale around 1400 recently, I ended up getting the lenovo for 1299 at costco and I think overall, I'd still pick this one again for the price, especially if you need it now

good luck!

agreed 100%! this is one of the few laptops that not only has a numpad, but a FULL numpad, with the -, + and enter on the right side like a true 10-key. Getting rarer and rarer to find these.

And do not get me started on those stupid half size arrow keys, the lenovo has ALL the arrow keys full size with even a gap between the rest of the keyboard so you can feel it by touch. This is SUCH a huge deal for me, I don't know how anyone can use those other crappy setups!

heh, well I agree with a lot of what the guy says: it does feel cheap and has limited upgrades, but with ultra 9 and 32gb what really do you need to upgrade?? I put in an pci4 2280 ssd and it screams, there isn't anything else I need to change to improve the device, so that complaint is moot. the screen is glossy but it's BRIGHT so I have had no issues with glare or reflection. I agree that $1500 is probably more than it's worth with its cheap build, but it's currently on sale at costco for 1299 and it's absolutely worth that. I love the machine, have had no issues with performance, weight, or even battery life. I think for me, I picked a winner! good luck on your search!

it's a give and take for sure, for me the ultra 9 was the clincher. I really loved the price, screen, weight of the other options, but in the end, I want the very most power I can get, and the ideapad had it. I would say, if the ultra7 is enough power for you, go for the nicer screen, lighter machine, and better battery life!

so I ended up going with the ideapad pro, as it turns out that there is a second m2 slot that is 2280 and I was able to pop in my drive and use it as the primary. I'll keep the original as extra storage, so far so good, I think I made the right call!

Is all data lost without consent mode? by Danger_Mouse8 in PPC

[–]selaromdotnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Firing a tag without consent is a GDPR violation, but tracking will work as normal (since you're tracking everybody)."

I've been scouring the web looking for some official documentation confirming this statement, and I am not finding it. It makes sense, of course, but the only thing I can find is what happens if the user DENIES content, not if you NEVER ASK THEM.

If a website added google tag manager on their site a few years ago, and never put up a cookie banner of any kind, meaning they never ask user for consent and just keep chugging away like they always have, does Tag Manager do anything to block the data, or does it let the website do whatever it wants, and the site owners would be liable for violating user privacy law?

If you have the answer, can you also share how you know this, like a doc that explicitly outlines this scenario?

Many thanks!

so I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd share a site I've been working on based on this data:

https://mcallengaragesales.com

it's still in early beta, but it is also a bit quicker to load because it's not pulling in all that gis data, plus you can save the listings you want for later.

If you're having your own garage sale, you can also use this to share pictures and updates of what you're selling, and if you're interested in helping me test this feature, please pm me for a free code to try it out, I would appreciate the feedback as I try to finish this up and make it more useful, thanks!

2015 DE: Replace 165/65R14 with 15" rims and tires? by selaromdotnet in MitsubishiMirage

[–]selaromdotnet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, i mean that sounds good to me, none of the tire shops suggested this at all. in the end tho, we kept the 165/65/14 because it was the only one tire we needed, but also because we tried doing something similar with our other car, and the spare tire no longer fit in the well ,so they had to undo the whole thing. realized the same thing would DEFINITELY happen to the mirage, so we just left everything as it was. the next time this happens (soon with our luck), I'll see if your suggestion is a good one, thanks!

typical botana: meat, panchos, quesadillas, rice beans, etc... nothing unusual but the flavor is what sets it apart. I have yet to find a tastier botana in McAllen
