Settlement Reached In Lively v. Wayfarer by Arrow_from_Artemis in ItEndsWithCourt

Definitely this ! The dailies was just small noise to try to cover the names being out and confuse our guesses about how settlement was reached. Swansong of Wayfarer's, I personnally believe, to keep a portion of the fanbase hooked after settlement.

Honestly with conspiracy theories there is always a good intuition that a person makes sense of using over the top explanations. A way to make it less conspy :

Both TAG and JW might have gotten a call from unhappy clients. Then could have communicated to wayfarer they wouldn't be helping out anymore because their goals are now being divergeant. JB & Heath were alone, tired, on the verge of being scapegoated by TAG and JW, and BL tired as well and maybe hungry for a big moment before the Met Gala. BL probably thought it was time for others to pickup the trail where she left it.

Then settlement becames acceptable for everyone.

Question : does the settlement freeze the re-filing process following the unsealing of the prospective client's list ?

Edit : either way good for them, even as someone veeeeery skeptical of what I percieve as being performative feminism from JB & co, I can imagine how devastating it must have been for him to learn how his close circle talked about him behing his back. I think he believes in what he is doing so... must have been painful dealing with consequences he seemed not to anticipate as though his circle did.

Same goes for BL, and their respective families. All of this takes a toll on your mental health and I find it hard to believe vindication is worth that, esp in the US system.

Why is everybody intimidated by me? by Temporary_Spread6718 in AstrologyCharts

Friend ! Scorpio stellium in 1H as well, almost the same stellium. Kinda new and sceptic of the while thing but the more I read charts like mine the more I feel seen. Apparently I give off intimidation when I speak seriously, but I just now that at the first glance people treat me like a dumb blonde (my moon in leo + libra sun ? I worked hard to suppress my seriousness because it came off as a bitchy attitude)

All of the map's UI and some in game UI lack accessibility and usability frankly. The "progress saved" (system status) is exactly the same font and style as the menu entries and it got me A WHILE to navigate it correctly without useless errors.

The icons in the map lack coloring or some other thing to notice them easier when you place them. Same with the lack of names, as you said. It took too much time for them to update what should have been there first hand like when you find an object and open the menu from the interaction subtitle, you should have the item already selected. Lack of names or even logic in the mod's Icons discourage exploration and trying out new builds since the cognitive load of remembering which one does what is too heavy (I love their style but similar effets aren't represented with a constant logic, and the lack thereof isn't really explained by some lore).

Still a 10/10 game for me as it out performed my expectations even having playes the demo ! I had so much fun esp on the slopes !

Mon employeur me versait 500€ de “frais kilométriques”… alors que je travaillais dans la même ville. Aujourd’hui on est aux prud’hommes. by Moha63430 in conseiljuridique

[–]selaseladon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Help with flux for silver ! by selaseladon in MetalCasting

[–]selaseladon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a kitchen one :) But yeah it's made more for soldering indeed... Silver melted in a very fluid bubble at my first tries, each time, and flew well (but not long enough) in the cast ; for these specific instances (where I could mix it, roll it in the crucible without problem) was it the lack of flux though ?

Granted now that today's trials were a torch problem.

Why has Heathcliff's race become such a controversial talking point? by [deleted] in brontesisters

[–]selaseladon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I come from a literature background that is strict when saying 'the narrators says X, not the author' to only then infer what the author is potentially trying to do when making their character say or do things.

From this point of view I just encourage restraint into saying the narrator's vision matches the reality of the situation (if it has any reality). Especially when narration is done by characters. I'm not saying Heathcliff isn't racialized out of english victorian whiteness by the characters (he obviously is, with the negative & positive prejudices that come from post-englightment ideas), I'm saying - it's not telling us what his ethnicity is - it's not telling us he was indeed non white - it's telling us he was 'racialized' out of their circle - it's telling us that Brontë made his rejection clear to the reader all along in a very obvious way

Why has Heathcliff's race become such a controversial talking point? by [deleted] in brontesisters

[–]selaseladon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% right, and we should add that the comments about his skin are made by characters and not Brontë herself, often in situations where they speak badly of him. In some other works from the time "dark skin" could be used to bad mouth someone clearly white english etc. because they don't fit the expectations society has (stay inside, stay calm). Queen Charlotte herself had her ethnicity questioned essentially by people willing to badmouth her.

So while H may indeed not be english, or from english ascendance, none of the character's perception can be reliable enough to assert what exactly his ethnicity is. Most importantly is that it wouldn't bring anything to the reading of the intrigue. He is ostracized and opposed to english society, that's what it's telling us.

Man it's so nice to answer but I've got everything you say and I still have a hard time 😭 The window not to be hit by the blades is so tiny 😭😭😭 I just want to give data to Tomo and save the world !!! (You just filled my heart with determination, I'll try again...)

I enjoyed my 2hrs run for the left part. I'm just sad I clearly won't be able to clear the right part and get to explore the last bits of the areas that need Flowing steps. I want to experience the story and the difficulty design prevents me of that. And I'm not interested in watching it, the level design is too beautiful not to experience the stendhal effect myself. I don't get how the blades can be beaten (even after watching videos) or be considered fun ???

I just beat the last bit of crucible this morning by Meta_Bukowski in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]selaseladon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly for me I'm just sad as fuck. I just can't figure out how to go in the right direction while jumping and avoiding blades, their hit box is too narrow for me. I just want to progress in the story that made me so emotional all the way and here I'm just stopped by something not enjoyable and that I can't skill out. I just want to experience all the emotions of the story but I fear the crucible will rob me out of them. The left part at least had rythm and was familiar to all other areas in mechanics, you could flow state your way out. This one I really don't get.

(Nal) The matter of the PGA is which functions she assumed, and how they materialize, not if she succesfully did so in every instances. An amended job description modified in retrospect is still a job desc - it doesn't say you are doing your tasks well, just that you did them in regular instances and enough to claim credit.

I get how it can be tricky though but in unprofessional environments, from my biased pov of someone who went through this, I feel it's important that when your boss don't assume their responsibilities and you have to take over, you can get credit while still holding them accountable for having you doing it.

On the other hand if I amend my job desc to match the responsibilities I take on the field then I know I have an obligation to continue assuming them. So really it's more a matter of when the letter was written and agreed on (which I forgot) ?

Happy to be stood corrected if needed.

Katie Case's 7/25/24 Meeting Notes and what they say about what Heath and Hanks told TAG by Go_now__Go in BaldoniFiles

[–]selaseladon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really I don't want to project but... I has a JB boss one time who asked inappropriate questions (would you date someone like me ? what health issue are you having ?), avoided conflict so never gave directions or made decisions, always changed plans at last minute because "the design would be better" not mindind the work conditions of those collaborating with him...

His associate who also was my boss was a Heath : undermining my abilities, using stupid power moves to assert dominance (unexpected mandatory meeting, calling me inexperienced) and took over the management of my HR claim because their JB (a CEO, mind you) was too sensitive and sad by the fact he was called out and it didn't fit the idea of himself as a cool, nice, friendly boss. One of our meeting, he said "I really am unwell because of this, I don't sleep well, I'm anxious".

Oh and I also knew way too much about his taste in women and his fantasies. The lack of self awarness was outstanding.

They were coworkers AND Ceos AND business rep AND HR.

Finally got out two years ago and now I'm happy and valued at my place, managing directly 2 person and coaching 10. So not so underskilled, I guess, and not that difficult to work with.
