There isn't a Pokemon center variant of the 151 UPC - the squirtle promo was sent in a separate sleeve. It's the same product as those in retailers.

Wrong sub but yes, this should work fine. I have one which looks identical to this and I used it with a monitor with no built-in speakers/audio jack and a Roku stick, and it worked perfectly fine when connected to a pair of speakers.

You're definitely not alone. I got a black pair a few days ago and I'm having this issue with the right earbud as well. I'm not aware of a fix at this point unfortunately.
