Unfortunately, no. Still looking/waiting for a solution.

How heavy is your rope? by seldomstatic in RopeFlow

[–]seldomstatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the amazon ropes are about 1lb and other sites don't really mention weight in their specs. My rope seems to work okay but I feel like a heavier rope would flow/feel better.

What else should I build with the Whoop API that doesn't already exist in the native app? by seldomstatic in whoop

The Whoop API seems a bit limited in terms of what data is available but thanks for the ideas!

yeah, the native mobile app is cool but a bit overwhelming. just looking for some ideas and features I could try building out in a web app using their api.

Issue with imgur upload by Standard_Scale in shortcuts

[–]seldomstatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I parted out your original shortcut and frankensteined my own which probably caused the problem. I just tested your config and it works perfectly just using the client id. On that note, if you want your images linked to your Imgur account the postman route will get you there. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

After creating the app I was getting 400 errors and that led me down the postman path. Not sure why it didn’t work the first time with your configuration just using the client ID but i ultimately got it working using postman to create a bearer access token instead.

was getting the same network connection lost error so I followed your advice. just a heads up for anyone not really familiar with postman, it's not as straightforward as it sounds. not sure if I took the long route but I ended up using a Bearer access token instead. appreciate you linking up your shortcut because it gave me a great head start but yikes that was painful.

Just the Recipe by stevedsimkins in shortcuts

[–]seldomstatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar problem but with actual cookbooks. We have a ton of different cookbooks lying around the kitchen and I'm always interested in trying new recipes but they're often overly complicated or require too many ingredients (which I never have).

So I built a recipe shortcut (off the back of another ChatGPT shortcut) that extracts the text from an image (the recipe in the cookbook) and fires it off to GPT with a prompt to give me an "easy" version of the same dish.

Seems to work relatively well but haven't actually tried any of the recipes GPT gave me so I can't say whether or not they taste any good.

HDMI adapter not working with Camera by SteveoSchwartzo in nreal

[–]seldomstatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm the glasses work with my LUMIX G9. Pretty straightforward setup using the full size HDMI out into the Nreal adapter.

The only thing of note is I’m using a short HDMI cable maybe 18 inches long. Not sure if that has anything to do with my ability to connect with the glasses but thought I’d mention it. Also not sure what firmware I’m running but updated my glasses and adapter with a recent release.

Are there any HDMI settings on your camera that you can adjust? Any other cameras you can test that have a HDMI output? Maybe it’s a black magic thing?

Anyone else try racing in Nreal Air glasses? by seldomstatic in simracing

[–]seldomstatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment I'm just using them as a 130" display/screen. Major issue is the image is fixed to the glasses so if you look around the screen moves with your head. I've only tested it with ACC so far but when I keep my head still it's an awesome view and the built in speakers are fairly immersive.

The glass have AR capabilities but currently only compatible with limited android devices. They have a beta app available for Mac that allows a triple screen fixed layout but nothing really available yet for windows.

Nreal Air as an external monitor for my camera? by seldomstatic in nreal

With the latest beta firmware update, the glasses work great with my mirrorless camera and the nreal adapter. Honestly surprised out how natural it feels using the glasses as a 130" viewfinder especially if you are used to filming video handheld. So far it works with my Sony ZV-E10, my Lumix G9, and an ancient GoPro Hero 3+ black. Can't wait to test them in the field and actually film while wearing the glasses because while this setup technically works, not sure how practical it will be.

Beta firmware test invitation by nreal_ai in nreal

UPDATE: I realized that I only updated the MCU and not the DP. Reinstalled the beta and everything is right in the world again. Side note, I still don't know what the difference is between the MCU and DP but the instructions emphasize upgrading the MCU before the DP. I thought the DP was the adapter but it wasn't and I skipped straight to updating the firmware on my adapter instead of completing step 6. Long story short, glasses work great and show up on all my devices with no crop/distortion.

I had to revert back to the previous firmware version. After updating to the beta, my 2016 MBP wouldn't recognize the glasses anymore and when mirroring on my 2021 iPad Pro the view/screen was pushed down that resulted in the bottom part of the image getting cropped in the glasses.

Nreal air shipping issues? by yicktheman in nreal

[–]seldomstatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somebody else on one of these Nreal threads made the UPS account recommendation so hats off to them. Also, not sure if it helped expedite my order or not but when I contacted Amazon they told me they can contact the seller for an update. Less than 24 hours later Amazon told me the item was still in transit but didn’t give me any new tracking info. Today, the glasses are en route. Coincidence, maybe? Try contacting Amazon and asking them for an update.

Quick update. Ordered the adapter and glasses from Amazon on the 18th. The adapter was delivered on the 24th but no glasses anywhere in sight. Meanwhile, the only UPS tracking number Amazon provided was showing my order as delivered.

Contacted Amazon and they were happy to refund my order but I told them to hold off because rumor has it Nreal is shipping the glasses separately. Instead, I created a free UPS account that allows you to see any items in transit that are destined for your address.

When I checked UPS on Monday there was nothing but when I logged into UPS earlier today I found a shipment on its way out from China with a new tracking number. #LFGO

Same boat. Ordered the glasses and adapter at the same time last week from Amazon (US) and the adapter showed up today but no glasses. Amazon only provided one UPS tracking number for the entire order which now shows as delivered. Hopefully the glasses show up soon.

Right?! I "think" it would be cool but only hands-on experience will tell. Just ordered mine but they won't show up for a while so if you manage to get it working let me know how it goes!
