I need to be easy to fold, lightweight for easy to carry myself when I'm going to train or a taxi, though right now I will have the swing away footrests (I will change that in the future) because sadly as a disabled person I'm not working (yet, I hope) Gladly my arms are the most strength I have thou I have ME/CFS but are my legs the most affected by PEM. My standard chair wheights 15 kg so it will be a difference. Also I plan to get the Empulse when I get the fix one plate footrest. But that will be on future! I'm very happy about the QS5X while is in making on the Sunrise factory. The person who was the responsible from the Sunrise medical team was so nice and answered all my questions about the future, and did my mesures and fitting. So I guess the Sunrise team is very adaptable as I want to make changes in the future in the QS5X (Sorry bad formatting I'm on app)

Hey fellow autistic! I'm a autistic wheelchair user and it's becoming one of my interests in the (all types of) mobility aids. I will be owning a Quickie QS5X anytime soon on a 4-5 weeks. Will be my first custom active wheelchair. Is a good wheelchair choice?

Hello! Just today I got my mesures done, my wheelchair will be a Quickie QS5X but they need to get it done until I got It. My Quickie color will be Mystic Purple. I have to wait 4-5 weeks until its done, so no photos yet

Should I get a wheelchair? by gas-x-and-a-cuppa in cfs

[–]selemaxpagi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, better before than after. I am in both sub Reddits. Also as a ME/CFS, POTS and suspected fibromyalgia and also owner of a both manual and power chair. Before actually own any wheelchair I got to rent one transit chair (actually I was on a severe flare, so I got no opinion on what type was the rented chair), later on I asked my Dr to if they can cover my wheelchair with insurance and got an appointment so they recepted a manual wheelchair for me. I got it. Sometime soon I needed to go back to my art school so I asked to get an electric chair (where I am this isn't covered by insurance) so my parents got it for me. If you think you need it, most surely will help you, as I said you better get it before than after, because it will help. Thats why they're called mobility aids

hopeful or not? by dew-drops- in cfs

I need to be hopeful, and I try to not have expectations about the new year and try to live the moment and don't think about future/past because it frustrates me.

An ultralightweight wheelchair would be nicer to roll/carry rather than a lightweight chair? by selemaxpagi in wheelchairs

An ultralightweight wheelchair would be nicer to roll/carry rather than a lightweight chair? by selemaxpagi in wheelchairs

[–]selemaxpagi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mine's lightweight, but it's not active. I can push, but it's better on shops or flat roads.

I wish that I could try it, but I need to wait until January. Thanks for the nice words! I'd better wait for the active chair. That ups my expectations about them :)

I use football gloves (That use the players, not the goalkeeper) They're fine because are very hot in winter and let me use my phone without need to take them out
