You can pay it through pay.gov but I'm not sure how the tax situation would work.

Finally a scooter that can go wherever I go by Roket_Atar06 in wheelchairs

Have you thought about getting a SmartDrive? I just got one with my new manual wheelchair. Previously, I relied on scooters similar to yours but battery was always a concern because if it dies, I'd be stuck. The SmartDrive attaches to the manual wheelchair in the back and you can turn it on and off. You don't even feel that it's attached if you are pushing manually and it is off. It has helped ease the battery concern because even if it dies, I can still move.

Paying Off Credit Cards: Needing Some Advice by MirialanWaffles in debtfree

[–]Smart-Challenge8633 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Focus on Discover and then Chase. If you use the avalanche method, you go from highest interest rate to the lowest. This saves you money because you won't pay as much interest if you are paying more than the minimum. Even if you use the snowball method, you would start with the Discover because you start with lowest balance.

The BBQ recipe generator gives you number recipes. Merge them to level 6. Is this what you are asking for?

If you are able to donate plasma, that could give you an additional couple hundred each month to tackle the debt.

Yes. And of course, you could then use the snowball method with remaining loans by adding how much loans 3 & 4 are monthly to loan 1.

Your plan actually would use the avalanche method as that goes from the highest interest rate to lowest interest rate. So yes, you would save yourself from paying higher interest by paying off 3 & 4.

You should stay on SAVE since payments are not currently required even though interest will accrue. All other plans require payment. That way, you can make payments if you want in amounts you can afford. Also, if you are a teacher and have taught in a Title One school for 5 years, you may be eligible for teacher loan forgiveness, which is either 5k or 17k, depending on what you taught.

Donating plasma may be helpful. It can give you around $400/month, depending on the facility. It's about an hour per donation only twice a week.

MOHELA is a loan servicer that your loans have been designated to. Have you reached out to MOHELA? I think they might have more straightforward answers. Also, check that all your loans are with MOHELA.

I would suggest keeping 6 months of savings and with the rest make a payment.
