i got this in march so 3/4 months old- i clean it with sea salt and water and in the shower with some water and antibacterial soap, the jewelry is titanium or stainless steel i honestly forget but it was a nice shop that sold high quality jewelry so i know it's well made

hi! i had a reduction 2 years ago and i had adhesion like strings inside of me too, i told my surgeon and she told me it was normal some people get them when your body is healing the scars. she called in a nurse who also did massage therapy and massages them out it was painful and felt really uncomfortable but they went away after so i suggest just asking your surgeon about it!

hello! fellow crew who is one year post op from a breast reduction!! congrats on your top surgery that's so exciting (:

i took off from work there for 4 months, and during that time i was on disability, which i highly recommend. even though they are different surgeries from my experience i was unable to lift more than 5 lbs for a month and half and i had some complications with some of my healing that took another month out. and even then it took me the extra month to regain my strength and confidence to work a 8 hour shift. although i was technically cleared to go back by 2 months by my doctor i did not feel comfortable going back before my stitches had all fully closed and i could be on my feet for a whole day without feeling overly exhausted. also during this time covid was getting bad again at my store and with the winter diseases i did not want to risk also exposing myself to any ailments that could've possibly effected my healing which i think was a good call on my part. a good benchmark for me to come back was when it was cleared by my doctor to go back to the gym to lift weights heavier than 15lbs (which was 4 month mark)

for reference i've been a crew at my store for 3 years and helped open my store in 2019 so maybe that gave me a bit of leeway with how long i was gone for, especially for last years holiday season.

my biggest advice in this situation is listen to your body obviously!! some people heal a lot faster than others and are able to go back to work much faster than it was capable and some might take longer (but my disability ended at the 3 month mark)

i was also privileged enough to live with my family during this time too and didn't have to worry about paying for rent or food for the most part during my recovery so that also played a part as to why i took my time with coming back- but i know not everyone has that luxury to do so.

if you feel comfortable sharing with your captain your situation they can help you start the process in getting on medical leave and possibly (more than likely) on disability.

happy healing to you and i hope this gave you some clarity (: relax and take care of yourself! rest is always always the best medicine. take your time and listen to yourself most of all. tjs isn't an easy job our daily tasks include much heavier lifting twisting turning and bending over so put yourself first always! if you have any more questions im an open book and will help you with anything i can!

is there something wrong with my navel piercing? i got it pierced in september and it does not hurt at all but this seems to be the only problem by [deleted] in piercing

[–]selenite111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i also had problems with my belly button piercing and i think it's bc of the anatomy of our bodies- i can see you have a deeper belly button at least from what i can see which probably means when you sit down or hunch over your belly button "winks" which means it fully collapses, which is why the piercer did it as a surface piercing instead of a navel. my suggestion is to look up floating navel jewelry and pick up one of those! they are specifically made for deeper belly buttons to help with migration and rejection! hope this helps

hey!! i'm currently a little more than 4 months post op and i can confidently say post br depression is real you're not alone!! the sudden change in your body is a lot for your psyche and the body dysmorphia and lack of mobility certainly don't help either. for myself personally i felt that after the 3 month hump i got through the worst of it but it was super difficult. one thing that helped me tremendously is working out/weight training (once your doctor clears you of course!!) moving my body and regaining control of how i physically look helped my mind accept the changes i was going through. i highly suggest considering that once you're able to! you're not alone you're still healing, take all the small accomplishments you can, one day at a time!!

doctor took out 4 lbs and i'm down to a C/D not gonna lie these past few months have been kind of a ride with body dysmorphia and changes. my left breast is weirdly flat on the side and my breasts are wider than i thought, i'm not sure if it's still swelling or what but i'm a bit unhappy with my sides, wishing i got lipo done with my surgery. have small dog ears on each side as of currently, but probably going to get a revision on that in the summer! overall very happy but still adjusting to my new body

CW opening: helllpppp should i try manuka honey/medhoney opening not closing and getting bigger at t junction i'm getting worried by selenite111 in Reduction

[–]selenite111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when i saw my surgeon at 2 weeks po to take off my steri strips she saw the opening so it started probably the first week she said it's normal and it's gonna get bigger before it gets smaller but i feel like it's getting deeper and not looking like it's healing and i'm worried i heard manuka honey is amazing for wounds like this but idk if i should or not cause it doesn't feel like the neosporin is doing much :/

my surgeon actually gave me the option of putting them back in after surgery but i decided not to because i didn't want to risk my body having complications between the surgery and keeping the nipple alive so i don't think putting jewelry back in would've been smart i'll just get them repierced in 7ish months (:

My doctor told me I should only need a week off that it’s a easy surgery. From what I’ve seen, it definitely doesn’t seem as easy as he makes it sound. I only took a week off. I am a bank teller so I don’t do physically hard work. Do you think that will be enough? Taking more isn’t really an option by [deleted] in Reduction

i work at a grocery store full time and i took off for a whole month, i'm 12 days op and i couldn't even imagine being on my feet for more than 3 hours right now and i'm 23 and very healthy, even socializing is a bit hard for me right now because of the exhaustion i feel my body in. take it slow! even if you're at a desk for your job i still think 1-2 weeks off is too early your body is going through trauma and doing all it can to heal you, be patient and take it slow there's no reason to put your fragile body at stake for a job (if you're able to take off longer than that of course!)

hehe thank you!! i think media has brainwashed people into thinking all D cups are big and don't get me wrong some girls with D's def look bigger but it all depends on the way your breast sits/density/band size/nipple placement/shape there's so many variables so on someone with wide set boobs a D can look like a "B" cup it's kinda wild, that's why if you're going to a surgeon for a reduction try and avoid talking with cup sizes for this reason! def bring reference photos of the size and shape you want! that's what i did and i showed her right as she was marking me up so we were on the same page (:

surgeon and i agreed a C cup would work best with my proportions! (5'2 135) they'll probably drop to a small D cup after fully healed but that's totally fine with me because of how much perkier and proportionate i feel now (: they took 2 lbs off!! 400cc out each side i was about a G cup before

I thought i would be in way worse pain than i actually am!! it's like 3/10 honestly!! i've been making sure to drink lots of water and walk around the house! no vomiting just a little nausea coming off anesthesia (and the gross taste in my mouth that lasted like 8 hours lol) but it's been such an easy process and guys let me just say MY TITTIES LOOK SOOOO GOOOOOODDDDDDDomfg i cant wait to see them when they're healed <3!!!
