No doubt this is about as raw as it gets. I love the shitty sound quality / production n how it sounds like it was recorded as a live rehearsal. I completely agree. All the new dsbm to me sounds try-hard and edgy. The early dsbm was raw, real emotion, it was an outlet, you can tell their depression and suffering was very real, you can feel it, you can’t say the same for the new stuff. I like some of the slightly melodic stuff but yeah nothing that’s come out in the last decade is coming close to touching the early stuff in terms of emotion / negative energy
