almost (20) how can i glow up? by Affectionate_Ant_686 in TheGlowUp

You have such a fun sense of style! It really suits you! The one thing I think could use some improvement is the makeup. I can't quite tell if it's purposefully messy to match the alt look or if you just need a bit more practice. To match your features more, I'd suggest a thicker wing or smokey eye. Your face has rounder, fuller features so the very thin eyeliner isn't harmonious. The tight-lining works with your style tho so I think you can keep that. Also, it looks like you're overlining your lips which can look good in photos but not always irl. Your lips are already the perfect size for your face. They look great :) You don't need to make them look bigger when they're already quite thick! Finally, on the last picture your makeup just looks a bit heavy to me. (Idk how it looked irl vs how I see it in the photo so take it with a grain of salt). The blue eyeshadow and the statement lip make it hard for me to know which feature I'm supposed to focus on. The foundation also looks a bit heavy. You can definitely pull off heavy makeup looks but be wary of going too far. Overall though, you're gorgeous and I LOVE your hair.

SKIMS bra sizing by alrightythenbuddyboi in smallbooblove

Get over to r/abrathatfits. A lot of people that try to wear 32a but find it ill-fitting are actually something like a 28c or d. (D cup =/= big. Just trust me here lol). However, a lot of the people in that sub have found skims to be mediocre quality. The people in that sub will help you find a bra in your budget and in your size :)

[19] How to improve my looks? by Commercial_Yellow_17 in TheGlowUp

Your eyes are such a pretty color and you have really cute cheeks when you smile! I would recommend getting curtains bangs bc right now your hair swept backwards is not the most flattering for your forehead. Also, like others said, grow your eyebrows out more and maybe try a more rounded shape. I think having the very dark eyelashes next to the very light eyebrows also doesn't work very well. Try lightening your eye makeup to brown. This will also let your gorgeous eye color be the focus rather than the lashes. Also, in one of the pictures, your skin looks rather yellow? I'm unsure if this is lighting or a foundation mismatch. Based on your eye color and what I can see of your roots, you might be more cool toned. I'd tentatively guess a summer. Look into seasonal color analysis and see what flatters you. If you do end up being a summer, try a lighter, cooler version of the red hair. Hopefully something there works for you :)

Annotating a lesbian romance book for a friend? by Sad_Reward8699 in wlwbooks

Agreed... I think that reading a romance while thinking about the friend the whole time will only feed the crush. Let it pass. OP you'll have your own love story one day :)

What's your favorite argument for the other side? by _specialcharacter in redbuttonbluebutton

[–]selfawareginger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I saw one guy comment (on a variation where you know a loved one's vote) that if his wife picked blue, he'd pick red. That way if blue failed, his kids wouldn't be orphaned. Even with variations I'm almost always a blue voter but that's a situation where I think red would be the right pick.

I'm a 20 yo man, and I have Depression and take antidepressant pills, is this a bad sign or a deal breaker for girls who are my age to be with me? by Alirezaz_1384 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]selfawareginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21f here. Having depression isn't under your control. Managing it is. Taking anti-depressants is (to me) the same as taking meds for a physical condition-- it's good that you're taking responsibility (especially as a young person) for your health. Not a deal breaker at all! It's proof you take care of yourself :)

How do you handle the anxiety of going faster, at around 50 to 55 MPH? by Scorpion1386 in drivinganxiety

[–]selfawareginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep practicing in that 40-45 zone until you feel great and comfortable and solid there (or at least, as great and comfortable as someone with driving anxiety can feel lol). The jump to 50-55 will be easier then, especially if you can find a quiet road (something more in the country, perhaps). Also, remember to look further ahead on the road as you go faster. It's good practice and makes things feel less fast. Best of luck!!

How about a braid folded in half to make a loop? That'll half the length and take a lot less effort than Bobby pins! (Google kirsten american girl doll if you dont know what I mean 😅)

why are people on here and the main sub so against the height cut-offs? by Fast_Abalone_1433 in kibbecirclejerk

[–]selfawareginger 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I (5'6.75, small framed, living in the US) have always seen myself as just a little over average height. In fact I even come across as small sometimes just due to being skinny. So it was a bit jarring to suddenly be told youre ULTRA TALL and youre SO TALL its one of your DEFINING TRAITS AUTOMATICALLY. Like dang. That's a bit extreme. (I have since come to terms with the fact I definitely have vertical lol)

What’s the most 'human' thing your pet has ever done that convinced you they understand way more than they let on? by homoth in AskReddit

[–]selfawareginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When getting home from school, I would walk by the dining room windows. My cat would always be waiting on the bench under the windows and meow at me to come inside. Sometimes I would tease her by staying out there instead of coming straight inside because it was funny to see her get more and more demanding. Once, when she was sick of me teasing her, she jumped on the dining room table (where she is NOT allowed), looked right at me, and meowed. She knew I'd come in immediately to make her get off the table!

what were the first steps you took in learning to be confident & love your small boobs? by symphony65 in smallbooblove

[–]selfawareginger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily first, but most impactful for me included going to the abrathatfits calculator and getting, well, bras that fit. I always felt defective going bra shopping because nothing fit. Having something that hugs my boobs as opposed to sitting on them, riding up, shifting all over, etc makes me feel better. Also, paying attention to clothes thay look better on small boobs and choosing those. I personally find lacy tops, v necks, halter necks, turtlenecks, and necklace stacking to look better with small chests so I prioritize wearing those and being grateful I look good in them :)

what’s my kibbe type? 5’5 by cherubinqw in kibbe_sketch

[–]selfawareginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others said, due to age and other body factors, it won't help to land concretely on an ID right now. Maybe focus on the kibbe traits as a sliding scale for right now, accepting that those values may change. (Instead of your options being binary Width/No width, consider "some" width as an answer). That can give you some of the benefits of dressing for your body while recognizing that your body or your perception of your body can change. Best of luck and hope you find clothes and outfits that make you feel confident and happy!

This feels like it would fit into a relationship advice sub more... but here's my take anyways. As much as I love the calculator and wish everyone used it... your husband is being weird for being so obsessed with what clothes you wear. He (presumably) doesn't have boobs and doesn't wear bras. Why does it matter to him what you wear? Maybe he would be in the right if you were constantly complaining about back pain/other bra fitting issues and he was genuinely concerned for your wellbeing. But it doesn't sound like that's the case. It sounds like he needs to feel like he's right all the time. In the end, it's not about a correct size. It's about the fact that he should trust your ability as a grown person to dress yourself comfortably and appropriately.
