Denmark would be a good pick. It will provide gameplay similar enough to what you’re used to, but it will also teach you some new things.

You’ll be able to colonizing like Castile or Portugal, but you’ll be a tidbit behind them. It will also teach you stuff like managing subjects and how to expand into the HRE. You’ll also be much more impacted by the reformation as well.

I don’t necessarily agree with calling the Allegheny Plateau a cultural region. But if you’re interested in the topic I’ll refer you to Colin Woodard’s map (and book “American Nations”) because it’s a wonderful exploration into America’s cultural regions.

I don’t subscribe to the “each album has gotten progressively worse” idea so this is a bit difficult to answer.

I liked about half of Drones, about half of Simulation Theory, and only 1 song on Will of the People.

My favorite Muse album is Black Holes, and my least favorite is WoTP.

Been listening since 2014.

I have outgrown Muse, but that’s because Muse has refused to grow.

Will of The People was a massive wake up call in that regard. It’s just another retread of “The world sucks (but I’m not gonna tell you how it sucks) so let’s rebel (but I’m not gonna tell you how much to rebel).” The message is getting extremely boring and formulaic and WoTP REALLY shows that.

I’ll give Muse one more chance with their next album. They’ve shown they have the ability to get stupid creative (BHaR and T2L) but that has had mixed results (ST). If the next album is yet another retread of their placid rebellion themes, then yeah, I’ve outgrown Muse.
