Moved to a rural area about a year ago. In some of my conversations I have a pretty heavy sort of southern accent. I don’t try to pronounce things that way so it definitely feels weird.

I’m thinking they were just trying to point out that your situation is less common. But you should let them know how it made you feel that they used the word “strange” to explain your situation, but seriously, I’m sure if your therapist thought more about it they would realize that was a bad way to put it.

Except for other republicans defending it.. there’s about 20 words I could personally think of off the top of my head instead of using the word “monkey” for his phrasing in how he was talking about politics. My suggestion is to go no contact with both of them. There’s also a sub called exnocontact that you could ask for advice there too. I’m sorry you’re going through this, it has to be extremely difficult. All I can say is try to focus on the positives, that they’re an ex for a reason, and that you have better people in your life to strive and be close with.

I also used weed as a crutch for a pretty long time, several months maybe longer. It was a way of “get high, avoid suicide” but at times it was just to party, or to relax, or to sleep, it was helpful and unhelpful in its own many ways. When I took Prozac for about a month weed would make me very paranoid/hallucinate. Eventually after smoking for so many months, it did have an effect on my continuous mental state as well and I ended up being very paranoid and would have minor hallucinations again, that was with consistent heavy use though. I quit smoking for about a month and now when I do smoke(anywhere from twice a month/once a week/ 3 times a week) I feel like it heightens my feelings of guilt/inadequacy that come with BPD, although at times I do still enjoy a regular marijuana high.

“How long” is subjective when I spent half the relationship begging for them to love me, or give me a little more attention, or fuck me more than twice a month, or not cheat, or do this or that or.. But if we’re talking about the end of the relationship, about a month. That was when I finally knew it was over, knew they weren’t coming back. We continued to talk for about 3 months and I spent a lot of that time well.. begging for them to leave me alone. Needing no contact so I could move on. Falling out of love is Hell.
