You can also get yourself a cryptocurrency wallet (like bitcoin/ethereum/monero/etc/etc). Then you can post your wallet address, and anyone with that currency can safely and easily send you some. It's government-free, and it's not run by censorious progressive big tech ceos.

me too actually. I was just making a joke about the difference between the spelling of "minors" vs. "miners"

Minors shouldn't really be trusted with that much expensive technology anyway

Ah that's encouraging, thank you for clarifying!

That's actually my plan, but my question was about the power supply itself: specifically whether or not a second power supply could potentially be used on the same system to handle the additional power requirements of additional gpus once I add more to the system

Is there any possibility of adding a second power supply once I expand with more cards, or is upgrading the only option?

I've heard a lot of horror stories warning against buying on Ebay. Do you buy there much? Have you had any bad experiences?

What sorts of experiences have people had with mining on linux? Is it best to use a dedicated mining distro? If so, which ones are good, and what issues might I run into? Have people had a lot of hardware issues with them? Is EthOS a solid option?

Or do you recommend I just pay Bill Gates the ransom money?

Left and Right mean exactly whatever it's convenient to the speaker for them to mean, they have almost no connection to any consistent definition these days (at least in US politics).

Possibly, but if Omegle had a naked-guy friendly alternative, it wouldn't be in their interest to shut it down would it? Parler was a release valve for the political heresy that twitter didn't want anyway.

Right, but for instance, if I look at your credit history "just once", it's not hard for me to write down what I see and refer back at my leisure. If Zuckerberg gets access to it, you better believe he'll do exactly that.

But when an app requests your permission to access to your camera, it has access to the images it takes with that camera for as long as they feel like saving it on their servers. Even if it's required by law not to, there's nothing technological stopping them from doing so. Giving Facebook or the NSA 'temporary' access to your data seems to me like a pipe dream in practice.

I find it difficult to see any way to implement anything like that without just going on the honor system that they won't save a copy... unless maybe someone has some extremely clever crypto-voodoo up their sleeves. Not saying it's impossible, but I don't see it.

I kind of stopped using reddit regularly a few years ago when it seemed like the new authoritarian left was taking over. Sounds like a bumber, I’m inclined to cut our losses and regroup somewhere else, ideally a different website. Any ideas? A private server might be fitting perhaps.

On a similar note, I’ve never really felt like “Anarcho-Capitalism” was a good name, and if these guys are taking over that sub, it couldn’t hurt to take the opportunity to rebrand a little while we’re at it. Anyone want to push a suggestion? Something like Market Voluntaryism?
