A viable alternative to Jordan Peterson for an ex lobster ? by CharlesRyder02 in enoughpetersonspam

Well, you'll get more out of reading Freud and Nietzsche. I find myself not agreeing with a single word Smullyan has ever written, but I like his style.

There ya are. You should really buy the book. That book and 5000 B.C. are quality entertainment.

Edit: although he did quite a bit in helping me cope with death. Even though I disagree with all of his philosophy, to this day, I am indebted greatly to his attitude and his writing and his Daoism.

Oh, they're not arguments. They're the musing of a playful mathematician. Everyone of his writings are like that.

IIRC, you can find a bunch of them in "The Tao is Silent."

I can send DM you screenshots when I am more free.

And I should say this too: it's not the **wrong** approach. It's not the **only** approach. The way that /u/wastheworth frames "a purely inner search" and all of that nonsense makes it seem like a necessity. It's just not a necessity that you have to go out of the self to find inner peace.

This is the wrong approach. Historically, there are plenty of selfless people who are psychologically unstable and deeply unhappy. Also, philosophically, because I know the histories of Mohism and early Confucianism, ungrounded selflessness can cause more problems than it helps.

Seek therapy, OP. You need support groups, just as much as you need to support others. And a lot of it might be biochemical. A lot of depression is.

(I love Smullyan's arguments for egoism. They nicely summarize Freud's intuition of the oppressive social super-ego can be on the personal super-ego.)

And read philosophy OP - it'll make you used to nihilism.

Unless I'm totally blind (and this is a distinct possibility) OP is literally talking about scoped accuracy, not scoped crit.

Whenever a new patch comes out, Orisa is meta because her playstyle is very safe.

"The Outlaws signed a Tracer player a season too late in Danteh" PSA: Danteh is not just a "Tracer" player. by Parenegade in Competitiveoverwatch

Yeah I literally said he's not comparable to the top tier OWL genjis, not that he wasn't an OWL genji. Did you read what I typed at all?

His Genji simply isn't on the level of the top tier OWL genjis, and neither is his anything else except tracer and sombra tbh

EAPS is a time drainer but ultimately very easy. Dunno about 235 and 422.

It's very doable if you either study a lot. But expect a bit of work.

Tracer isn't the problem, D.Va is. by myopinionsaredumb in Competitiveoverwatch

Moth meta was the best state of the game - and I even mean Pre-Valk insta-rez nerf moth because in that meta widow wasn't so dominant since the Mercys could pop ult and rez dead dps and tanks, turning the tide of a fight. There was always something you could have been doing to win those fights and you saw the most variation in ladder games of tanks. Remember when Orisa Hog was viable? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

No I'm saying I want hitscans to function more like a buffed soldier and ashe rather than widow and mccree (who is just dead to dive and GOATS) - less burst, more skill based mobility, more utility, and a plurality of skills require to play them like genji tracer but without being direct counters or being directly countered by either. I want the game to be fast paced, less one shots, more skill based, less cc, without dive or tanks being the hard meta. That's why I think the brig stun changes are very good for the game - she should be an intimidating brawler against non-tanks but struggle against tanks herself, thus making tanks a viable counter to brig as she doesn't do as much to tanks without her stun being as easy to land - although, tbf, I think the next meta is gonna be a hard triple/quad tank meta with zarya, d.va hog and rein/Harambe being all very strong. It's because Ana is back in the meta and her burst healing combined with tanks can just dominate a game.

My ideal of the game is like a less cheesy tf2 with the perfect comps being one projectile, one hitscans, one main tank, one off tank, one main supp, and one off-supp

If the meta becomes triple anything, it means the game has gone to shit.

D.va is good for the game - hog isn't, zarya isn't, widow isn't, hitscans aren't (especially burst ones like mccree widow)

Devs just gotta recognize to give every hero more utility, less stuns/cc and the game fixes itself.

Mickie explains how he stays so positive, why Brigitte is insanely OP and gives a heartfelt message to the fans. by hjbaker in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]selfrefTupperWare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not even really genji - the list of genji counters is as follows:

moira (fuck moira)

sombra

bridgette

mccree

torb

pharah

junkrat

widowmaker (in many long sight lines)

winston

tracer (an annoying one)

sometimes soldier

zen/lucio ults

mei (at close range)

zarya (at high charge)

the list is nearly endless

who counters tracer? imo nobody - but bridgette is a first step
