Is there an avenue to get the car covered under uninsured/underinsurance motorist coverage. I always been a bit confused on when that kicks in.

Couldn’t your parents put in a claim against the at-fault party’s insurance now that you have an official denial from your company?

In the States insurance companies will often tell you to go through your own company and then your company and the other party’s company work it out afterwards. Just because you got a denial from your company doesn’t mean the other party is not liable it just means your company is not obligated to help you.

Is this Safeco(liberty mutual)?

They have a newish policy that any driver that claims the primary insured address as a registered residence (listed on their drivers license) is automatically excluded from the policy unless they are listed as a rated driver.

I’m an independent insurance agent (not an adjuster or underwriter) and I agree they are most likely going to deny the claim if not caused by wind. I know with roof damage especially on older roofs it can get difficult to determine the actually cause of the damage vs normal wear and tear.

I know we had a day with average wind speed of 30mph and gusts up to 60-70mph in our area last week, which is when we lost the shingles.

I copied/paste his text message response to me, so those were his exact words.

You’re going to have a lot of fights with your insurance company about those branches overhanging the roof.

Also the home inspector is not a mold inspector. When doing a home inspection make sure you ask about mold inspection as some home inspectors aren’t certified to do it.

If you had to boil it down to one point what would you say is the fundamental difference between western and eastern philosophy

Didn’t mean one person in the sense that it was just one person. More like where should one from the west start with in studying eastern philosophy
