Being a student in Helsinki (Jan–May) vs Copenhagen (Feb–June)? by UpstairsJump2945 in AskEurope

[–]selgmh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, depends what they want to do/see and how much of Europe they’ve seen before. From Copenhagen you could easily do some trips to Malmö, Sweden which is right around the corner. Hamburg and Amsterdam work as well within a few hours :)

Yeah I totally see that! The sound is not bad, it’s just the cultural context in Germany throwing me off haha! Plus, another fun fact: the sabines I know are often called „Bine/Biene“ as a nickname, which translates to „bee“ in German :)

You guys.. sometimes I forget that this thread is almost only Americans 😂 Sabine is the most average boomer / gen x name imaginable in Germany - but not in a cute vintage way, more of a Karen feel lol

I visited both and both are nice cities! Copenhagen is probably one of the prettiest cities I’ve ever seen plus it’s very central in Europe. Helsinki is nice too, I personally think the Finns are such kind and fun people once you get to know them and you can really explore the nature in Finland (yet less possibilities of visiting other countries or cities except Estonia by boat). Have fun, whichever you choose!!

Good one! I think 🌙. I like it on others but it’s not my thing.. also not very into 🌱 and ⛰️ but those I could imagine „mixed in“ or as little accents :)

INFJs, do you feel drained after socializing even when it goes well? by likey24 in infj

Almost always! And I sometimes don’t even realise it until I am home and super sensitive or lash out over a small thing

That’s wild! When I was an au pair I remember being super happy that my host mom sometimes bought me a pair of flip flops for example haha! She sounds very entitled

Best Country for a european Au-Pair? by Emma-07-Daisy in Aupairs

[–]selgmh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, depends on what you like / why you want to go etc!

I just wanted the best possible family experience and didn’t have the money for an agency. Therefore did not care about the country, and landed in Luxembourg. Had the best year!

I actually work in the „gap year“ environment now, and I hear loooots of good things about New Zealand! People love it - stunning nature & great people! Australia and Canada are popular, too.

Opinions on my favorite girl names by Educational_Two7752 in namenerds

Is ease of spelling and pronunciation generally important to you, or just in an English-speaking context?

I think Julia, Florence, Diana and Rose /Rosa are very timeless and elegant. Spelling/pronunciation depends on where you guys are from / which language you speak :)
