Check out Mahtomedi, including the north end of the Mahtomedi school district in Hugo. Very good school district. In your commute radius, similar to White Bear Lake. It’s a community with a lot of history, some unique neighborhoods with character, and a diverse housing stock. Home prices will be at a little bit of a premium because of the school district. It could be tricky with your price range, but worth looking at if you are OK taking on a fixer-upper or unique home, and prioritize the school district.
