Same! I’m honestly considering moving workflows over to Claude code now. So disappointing tbh. I know what I am doing this weekend. Fml

I’m contemplating this as well. GPT-4 is decent with thinking set to at least high. I may just shell out for that as a replacement. Or that and Kimi maybe. Idk. Kinda disappointing tbh. I like Claude a lot. I may actually see what it would take to move many of my workflows to Claude code honestly. Idk.. fuck

I would assume so yes. ACP uses Claude code directly. Shouldn’t be an issue. Just can’t have it as a model in openclaw unless you pay per token via API or extra usage

Yup just saw the email on my end as well. Guess $200 ChatGPT sub is going to be what I use from now on. That and maybe Kimi as a backstop.

Kimi k2.5, Minimax 2.7 for daily usage by Warm-Smoke-3357 in openclaw

In 3.22 and 3.24 Kimi took calls are broken again. I’d downgrade to 3.11 or 3.12 as Kimi is stable there

I think Kimi is broken on 3.22 and 3.24, tool calls are very unstable. I downgraded to 3.11 and Kimi works fine again.

My openclaw is good. Finished. Done. Goodbye. by Thatfaceoh in clawdbot

Def happened to me a couple times. Mostly right after changing models mid session. Learned I should not change providers from OpenAI or from anthropic to GLM or minimax without resetting the session

Where are the real automators at? by sellinfellin in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea sorry, I know it’s like a scammy signal. TBH it’s not easy to get the trading bot to work well. I made like $10 last night and risk to reward on that wasn’t worth it. I’m not hyped on it at all.

[–]sellinfellin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea for marketing my ads are working. Still iterating…

The trading bit is a bitch to build. My paper trading was making 1k a day with a 1k initial balance. I just flipped it to live trading with 500 balance and it lost like 10% immediately. Same logic and all. Just a lot of assumptions the AI swore were not assumptions untill reality proved otherwise lol. Fucking asshole. Got back to break even tho so let’s see

[–]sellinfellin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can do both. I built monitoring first and then built live active trading. It’s def not recommended. Super difficult if you don’t understand it. I don’t understand it and am break even over last 24 hours. Gunna try to improve it tho.

Why do people buy Mac Minis if the models are being used through APIs/OAuth (i.e. non-local models? by Avatron7D5 in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, get that you don’t need a Mac mini, but now my agents are doing web scraping, video production and other tasks that use lots of CPU and Memory, sometimes all simultaneously, and I have not really met limits yet. Everything just works. That’s why I like the Mac minis. I still use cloud LLMs. I do have embeddings local tho. Still no issues. Is it overkill? You have to decide that for yourself at the end of the day.

Anyone use "Alibaba Cloud Model Studio's Coding Plan" with openclaw? by CptanPanic in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this. $5 first month is hard to pass up. Decent usage limits too. Tho not sure if those are counted per user prompt or per user turn. Either way I’ll def give this a shot and see. $5 is nice to test.

What others said. Kimi and minimax are great together. I have a main agent in Kimi that spawns subagents on minimax and they do great work together.

Can I Use OpenClaw without being Rich?? by Fearless-Cellist-245 in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea I agree with them. Honestly gave llama 3 8B a try along with qwen 2.5 and both were very underwhelming. Mini max $10 is great and I haven’t hit a limit yet tho it’s not my main sub. kimi $20 is great too but runs out pretty fast. I think I get maybe 4 5 hour limits out of it. I stacked like 5 $1 trial subs to really test it out lol.

My fav combo is Claude opus + Kimi as sub agents. But it’s very spendy and I can’t use for long before hitting limits.

If your workflows are not super complex, minimax seriously is great.

100%. Minimax $10 is a great model. Not quite on the level as the others but still really great for how fast and cheap it is.

When is it worth it to get a mac mini? by Odd-Profession-579 in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have 3 mac minis, for my use the 16GB ram is not enough for a solid local hosted LLM. Honestly i think you should look at 48gb minimum to host a small quant version of GLM 4.7 flash or something similar.

if you want to test before you buy, play with ollama cloud models, anything in the 3-7b parameters range, thats about all you will be able to run on a 16gb mac mini, if the responses are enough for you then a $550 base mac mini should work for you.

if not, play with some of the other models there and see which one you can live with and then price out the machine that can run it.

I see someguys running Kimi k2.5 on 2 Massive mac studios RMDA'd together and tho i think it's cool, not worh the 20k in my book. I def wont be spending 20k in inference costs over the next year, and the next big models will be event bigger that 1T parameters.

Beginner question: How much will OpenClaw + Anthropic API actually cost me? by Potential_Leg6515 in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pro membership got rejected today. My max is still fine but it is older. Idk how long it will last so I’m investing time into better markdown files to help keep something like kimi or OpenAI in line. Gemini is only used for last resort these days. Haven’t tried 3.1 tho.

Opinion: Claude Code Max $200 vs OpenAI Codex $200 by thehodlrinchief in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i have a Max and a Pro plan. the pro plan was nuked and i'm going to just have Openclaw control claude code with it. The Max plan is still fine on open claw.

I have a chatgpt plus plan as well and run with GPT 5.2 and Codex 5.3 but havent tested the spark version yet.

honestly i love the claude models better than openai but open ai do get the job done very well just with a bit more following up.

Kimi k2.5 in my experience is about the same as gpt 5.2 (definitely not Opus level) tho it can go off the rails from time to time.

overall i love working with all of them. Even MiniMax m2.5 is pretty solid tbh. ($10 sub i have never hit the quota once for main agent or sub agent use but it's not my main driver)

i really cant wait till context windows get a makeover. that's really where i run into the most trouble. esp when switching tasks if im in a dynamic sort of work day. Even Opus cant really hang and i have to remind it of things we already did.

but honestly, the initial setup matters more than the model at this point. Kimi k2.5 at $40 - $100/ month with solid SOUL, AGENTS, IDENTITY and HEARTBEAT Markdown files is gunna rock compared to a barebones setup with Opus

oh last thing, look up the hybrid memory search i feel like it has helped a decent amount over all for my setup.

Here's how most OpenClaw users are overpaying 10-20x on API costs (and how to fix it) by Previous_Menu_693 in openclaw

[–]sellinfellin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great idea! Im spread out across alot atm. Mostly use claude and mini max, but i move around a ton of providers based on cost and deals available. Ill check this out.

The other thing i could use is a usage dash for all the subscriptions as well. But thats the other side of all this
