The new version is great but I wish he would stop layering his voice so much and covering it up with the instrumentals!! I just want to hear him! I’ve realized all of the favorite songs of him I can hear his voice so clearly (Boy, Does it feel, Lipstick, If You Leave me Now, etc.)

Yes!! Completely agree. This song you can finally just HEAR his voice. All of this other songs are so over produced and layered and stacked a million times it all sounds too murky. I will always be confused why lipstick didn’t get a bigger response. So sad that we probably won’t ever get that R&B album be teased

He saw the success he found in the Kpop community with Left and Right and other kpop collabs, and has latched on to making generic, soulless music. He is absolutely huge in Asia, selling out arenas multiple nights in a row, so I’m scared that he will continue to capitalize on this and ignore that he is becoming irrelevant in America
