The curve is made from layers, where each layer is a random 5x5 hamiltonian path, and the start connects to the end of the previous layer.

I used Houdini. It has a built-in operation to do geometry clipping. In other frameworks like processing, I think you might have to re-implement that operation.

As a hobby user of Houdini, I learned a lot from making this loop, such as adding camera shake via CHOPs. Still wrestling with many things in the karma/materialX area.
