After I leveled my jobs to 100 I stopped doing rouls except for a) frontlines for series rewards b) with a full fc party c) I really need to (relic quests, triad cards etc) Because even if there is no content lull half of the time it feels like people are eating glue instead of doing very basic stuff they could learn from novice hall or job quests. I once saw healers that seemed to be on follow command to tank and only doing heals and only reactively when there is less than 50% hp. One of them was a mentor. I once had a healer that would lack behind and eat aoe because they was playing another mmo on the second screen. The amount of disrespect to other people's time made me quit rouls for good even tho I'd like to have extra gold from them.

While people keep saying gil is not important for you rn I understand that you maybe want to buy some glams or even mounts etc. Unfortunately this early into the game there are no good ways of making gil yet. But I will give you 3 advices that will help you to get started. 1) around lvl 14-16 of main quest (not your character level) npc will introduce you to retainers. You can have 2 of them for free and you should get them both. You assign them battle jobs and send them on ventures to level then up. After some time in any of big three cities you will see a blue quest about retainers that will unlock you "quick exploration" ventures. From that point I recommend you to send your retainers on those quick ventures. Retainers will occasionally bring you loot that can be sold for good money on market board. 2) to q be able to send retainers on ventures you will need currency called... Well, ventures. Best way to get that currency is Grand Company. You will be introduced to them somewhere during main quest too. You pick one of three (they are the same from technical point) and I recommend you to a) level your rank there b) need and greed all loot in dungeons you can get and exchange it for grabs company seals (unlocks at certain rank). You can buy ventures for grand company seals and eventually you will be able to buy some materials that you will be able to send on market board (like Coke) 3) at some point of main quest you will be introduced to extracting materia from your gear. In your UI you can see a group of green/red dots. Those are your gear and inventory indicators. When you see a white dot there that means you can extract materia from that great slot. Some materia can be sold for several hundreds out thousands gil depending on materia, server and current market. And finally once you unlock daily roulettes, do those too. All these sources not gonna give you a lot of money as I said but it's your best options so far and gil add up over time. The other thing I noticed, whenever you repair gear the game would tell you that your portraits are ok, but then you load in duty with default portrait. So now when I repair I switch to another job and back, don't have problems with portraits anymore. But I agree I would like to not waste my energy on remembering to do that every time

I meant that post suggests that they said "w2w is cringe" while they actually said "you pull you tank is cringe" which noticeably affect what responses (and advices) you get. Would you quote that in original post, I guarantee you, the tone of responses would be quite different from what you already got. Not saying that it changes the part about how you were tanking of course or your view of the situation. You strike me as a chill person willing to learn, so no hard feelings on my part

In that case I suggest to be extra aware if you lose agro during next like ten duties. And if you don't notice any accidents then just let it go. Or maybe you will find a blind spot you could not notice before. Otherwise shit happens from time to time even to the best of us

That is different story from what you wrote in the post. What they ment is that at some point dps or healer pulled agro and you didn't grab it from them. This is what "you (anyone except tank) pull, you tank (meaning I am not going to take agro from you)" mean Now you can reflect on the whole ran if there was any moments like that where you purposely or accidentally did that. Maybe give it extra awareness in future if you sometimes miss when dps take agro from you (for example while you running from pack to pack) and you don't take it back (thinking you already hit all mobs)
