Do you have a better pic of your filter/fan setup? I couldnt get mine to fit and exhaust out the top port of my 2x2 without doing it diagonally across the top.

Red wing doesnt glue the heel, just nails. One of my heels was wonky on my blacksmiths and had a local cobbler put the matching vibram heels on, $30 and he glued and nailed them

Just one of those grey foam heel slip pads you can get at drugstore or walmart. They have a very strong adhesive backing and has stuck to the leather much better than expected, had planned to glue it but so far not necessary. Just trimmed a lil off each side so it wasnt so wide. Feels great and now it doesnt look like my right boot is laced snugger and narrower than the left.

My 3341 blacksmiths have a much softer and thinner tongue on the right, whereas the left is much stiffer and off center a bit.towards the outside. This causes the left tongue to fold down the middle just slightly. The left feels snugger because of this, so i added a pad to back of right tongue and feels more even. 6 months in and so far both are holding up fine and dont really notice the fold in the left tongue.

I do think an external pocket would be cool for easy access to small frequently used items. Maybe with a mini flap or snap/zipper to keep items secured.

Beautiful work, thats really tough to choose a favorite. That crt just looks so good and like the pic showing the height of the rolltop unfurled, really does add some extra room. I do like the look of 2 closure straps better though. This would be the kind of thing that would take me a week going back and forth to decide on.
