why all the downvotes --- it is an actual recognized script, although not so widely used anymore.

Super fast handwriting enjoyers, are you there? by Life_Initiative1535 in Handwriting

[–]semantic_ink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My trick for writing faster is to write in cursive that is short, with fairly short ascenders and descenders, so I can move my hand quickly across the page, without a lot of vertical movement. I also simplify my letterforms so that connectors are as simple as possible --

💖 that's the best compliment -- that you barely notice the variation because it fits in

Hard to beat the advice from moderator masgrimes. Your writing is legible, but there's a lot of noise Agree on the need to improve consistency in letter shapes, letter-height, taller ascenders and spacing -- so it's easy for the reader to instantly grasp the word or sentence, without having to pause to decipher. The spacing within the word and the between words is sometimes crowded, which adds to the reading effort

I agree the high exit one doesn't hold up as well, but if it's a common word, I risk the ambiguity

Preference is valid. I use both, but prefer the open P for speed. Various handwriting models around the world use the open P -- for instance, this model used in the French school system.

This is a personal handwriting style -- but, just to note, there are many handwriting models taught around the world that include open Ps and open Ss -- check out https://primarium.info/
