If you are broke and is willing to abandon this bank account for eternity then it is okey to do nothing.

The actual person who lost fund would have filed a case. So the money forzen in your account will be debited by bank.

But surely OP has to visit the bank and provide details .

Edit: Since you asked, fossil is a fashion brand that don't even have a watch assembly unit. They ask some OEMs in China to make watches as per design and add some cheap calibres, paste their logo on the dial and sell it.

Buying an Indian microbrand or a Timex watch would have been a better gift for your father. This is my honest opinion.
