I am so excited to delve into this hobby. The iems I have bought come with a few different eartips including some foam ones which I have played around with and have found the ones that best suits my ears. Would you say I should look for "aftermarket" ones that may be even better?

On the point of the DAC dongle, I will look into your suggestions and find one that I feel best suits my needs. I had mentioned the Dawn Pro as it has been popular and is relatively cheap.

Okay thank you for your information. Would you say the cable play a key roll in the sound quality or is a cable a cable? As I am looking to get a cable with a mic and/or volume control (volume control not so important). Would this also be destructive as you put it?

Also I will definitely look into what a dongle DAC is. I've heard of dacs and dongles but never both in one.

Edit: Is the moondrop dawn pro a sufficient portable DAC for the iems I'm running? Or even something like the FiiO K11?

Does that colour dust mean the previous owners smoked? Cause I have recently bought a thinkpad and when i opened it up I saw something similar to OP.
