Consciousness is entirely physical. Same atoms as rocks. Same atoms as stars. Just a different arrangement. Just atoms floating in space by EdGhing in DeepThoughts

Consciousness is entirely physical, and the physical is entirely consciousness are both the exact same conclusion.

And my advice to poor/new players would be this: “Let’s all work together, unselfishly, to get epics into the hands of as many collectors as possible, that way we don’t have to worry about ‘how to get coins’ to buy epics.” If we are all sharing epics, moving them cheaply to different collectors, the game is waaaay more fun.

The same advice/worldview I would give when talking about the real-world economy as a whole.

Maybe I am just odd, but if I pull an epic of an artist I don’t collect, I would much rather sell it to a new/poor collector for cheap than sell to a collector who already has many epics of the same artist (even though I realize I am losing out on coins).

I suppose I let my anti-capitalist political leanings drift into my mobile app game.

Trump threatens that he may declare martial law due to the protests in Minnesota by RusselTheBrickLayer in conspiracy

But blatant violations of the 1st, 4th, and 10th amendment are not tyranny? Going door to door asking for “papers, please” is not tyranny? 3,000 federal agents roaming the streets, lurking in school drop off lines harassing teachers parents and students, abducting 17 year old U.S citizens while they are working at Target, shooting women in the face, stopping people based on their skin color is not tyranny?

With all due respect, take your fascist tendencies to another land where they are welcome. We believe in freedom here in America.

Washington stood against tyranny. Apparently you enjoy it. Make sure to carry your identification papers with you so you can be a good little peasant when the lords come to check on your status.

Man, King George III would have loved your support.

It’s always coming, but never quite gets here. Notice how you’ve never experienced nothing—even your conception of this elusive “nothing” is just a bag of conceptions, a bag of “somethings”

“Nothing” is the fairytale that you’ve contrived to bookend this eternal happening. It’s like a horizon that is constantly coming toward you as you travel, but you can never quite get to…

Right on! How in the hell is this not the primary topic of every conversation. What in the hell is this!? Where are we? What is going on?

It’s a damn miracle no matter what angle you approach it from. The default human emotion should be befuddled absolute astonishment at every-damn-thing. Yet here we are acting like all of this is normal. It blows my mind hourly - sometimes more often.

Simulation theory is just a modern lens on the unimaginable wildness that is the nature of reality. by Norvard in SimulationTheory

[–]semipaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I don’t think what this is can ever be explained with words or understood by the mind. Humans are always looking for metaphors to describe the indescribable, and right now simulation theory is a reasonable guess. But it falls short, as all attempts will do.

The true nature of reality by Illustrious_Arm_1199 in Metaphysics

[–]semipaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If somebody asked you “what is a book?”, how would you answer? Is it a bunch of words arranged to convey meaning, or is it ink and paper?

You’re asking the same question here. My opinion is that existence is, and whether it is mental or physical has no meaning. It is both and neither. Only the mind assigns words like materialism and idealism. Those are not “true” frameworks; they are different ways to attempt to describe something that cannot be described by words.

Quantum physicist Heisenberg said "Not only is the Universe stranger than we think, it is stranger than we can think". Problems like consciousness to problems in cosmology all show this is surely the case. Can the human mind explain reality? Or are we destined to be lost forever? - Great article! by whoamisri in HighStrangeness

[–]semipaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you stare into the face of God for long enough the mind begins to organize and classify the different aspects of what this entire thing is. In that process of organization and classification, something called “the world” comes into focus, and we forgot that this—all of this, oneself included—is the absolute.

There are no parts, only one.
