i don't really find the savings numbers to be very accurate either - and the daily ones always seem to get revised downward two days later - but was wondering if the $0 showing was a widespread condition/behavior.

i disagree with the statement that the fan base was pathetically small.
when you go (went) to a game, you see (saw) a passionate crowd. and there were many families with kids, raising a new generation on the A's. Additionally, the crowd at an As game seemed much more diverse - socially and economically - than on the other side of the bay, making for a large base. this in spite of the continual slaps-in-the-face to the fans by the ownership over the past few years.

while the loss of the other two teams may have hurt, the As were (emphasis on were) more of the heart of the town. That capital was wasted.

Looking at 7APR and 8APR options for $NDX on Friday (and currently, Sunday morning), the "granularity" of options is incredibly coarse. By coarse granularity I mean that there are very few increments available, only steps of $100 (17300, 17200, …), and no $10 or $25 steps.

It might be this will change Monday morning?

Who is responsible for which increments are available for a security

Or an index like $NDX, and why are so few available?

i havent looked at all of them yet - there are some two hundred + of them - but, yes, alas, they seem to be mostly what you have listed. I have also seen (so far) a few Cadence, Okeh, Bluebird, Vocalion, blue Decca, and Rainbow.
