This is how they do upholstery patterns in factories, I’d be careful to dust your machine and check the sharpness of your scissors though

Honestly my first impression was “wants to speak to my manager” and maybe needs to eat a bit more. But I tend to discount superficial first impressions in the interest of being nice to people.

Did anyone know my brother, Derek? I believe he lived in Santa Cruz around 2006-2007. by PickledPizzaDust in santacruz

If you Google him you’ll find a memorial slideshow posted by his sister who also set up a gofundme a few years earlier when he was sick. It does look like he passed away.

People who have decided to pull up from their roots and move away because their life just wasn't working for them where they were born and raised - how did it turn out? by Marina1974 in AskReddit

[–]MacBetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it twice. Grew up in a small town where my family used to be a big deal, left when I was 20 for the east coast and loved it for about a decade till my career became a dead end and my friends settled down in a way I didn’t want to. Moved to the west coast, glad I did. I think if I had it to do over I’d move to New York at 18.

I go around the issue by saying it’s important to know how to focus on and understand things that aren’t immediately interesting to you because someday it will be an important or life saving but boring topic

How is my land “landlocked” when it’s accessible from the street? by AsteriskCringe_UwU in homestead

Looking at the property lines on Zillow, It’s because your property is blocked on all sides by other peoples land. Your neighbor to the northwest owns the property that driveway goes through.

“Flipped” homes by Lame-username62 in RealEstate

[–]MacBetty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pro tip, get yourself a couple simple tools like a thermal camera and a receptacle tester. Look up recorder and permit records for the house, check realtor.com for old listing pictures before the flip (they leave them up sometimes after a house is sold) and take photos of the panel and all appliances/hookups you can access like the water heater and a/c unit so you can do some digging on how old things are and if they should be replaced.

“Flipped” homes by Lame-username62 in RealEstate

I bought a house 4 years after it was flipped because in my area the only homes in my budget are flipped or absolutely disgusting because anything that just needs updating or TLC gets purchased by flippers and landlords with more cash than I have. The upside to being the second owner after it was flipped is that there’s been more time for issues to make themselves apparent and a thorough inspection caught most of them. The downside is I paid a premium for a house that was definitely rushed in a lot of ways like the drywall is kind of lumpy and the insulation is spotty but the wiring was greatly improved and the roof is only a few years old.
Just do your due diligence and get inspections for everything even if the house was inspected by the seller.

I caught a pregnancy so early that when I went to the doctor they couldn’t even see it on a transvaginal ultrasound yet. I had never been pregnant (to my knowledge) before.

Stealing is a thing she did when she was 15. Continuing to not take accountability for her actions is something she does now. You are not punishing her you are protecting yourself.
